I hate that quest. All the npc suddenly died and I have to kill all of undead

I gain more magic loots before wearing my magic find armor set and equipping them with magic find runes which amounting to 22% increase. Now while wearing these equipments, I am having a hard time gathering rare loots.

Does the actual magic find boost works?
