That simplifies just so many things! :-)

About two months ago there has been an outage for several days.
Lawton mentioned that he might add an off switch that comes along with an handy HTTP status code (e.g. 503) that indicates if the API is down.
Can we rely on this status code to be sent now?

Is there any way to determine the API’s current status? Something like https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/status ? That would be really nice.
