Guild Wars 2

Hi!

So basically I have always had unusually low fps in Guild Wars 2 which can range from kitten fps if I am lucky. Well, except for some random times, which I couldn’t really explain. For example, one day, I was running at 40 fps in the main city, and the next one I was running at 60+

Today I finally figured out what was causing the boost in FPS, and you will probably think I am high or something but hear me out. My main browser (which is chrome btw), actually gives me a boost of up to 20 frames when I am running it in the background.

This of course sounded strange as hell to me, so I have tried to experiment with my settings, but couldn’t find out what was causing this, and that is why I am looking for help here with this strange issue. Is there a way to find out what is causing this, so that I can have 60+ fps without having to keep a browser up all the time?

My specs (important ones):
i5 3570k
GTX 580 OC Gigabyte
6 GB RAM

I joined this guild yesterday. I swear, I have never seen such teamwork, such a helpful community. They waited until I completed the whole guild rush, and even when I died 200x times, they went back to the start and helped me without any complaints at all!
