I’m loving the S/D ranger for dungeons. Melee though is not a good option for dungeons unless you can time your dodges correctly.
As Ampy said, experimenting is the best way to find your style. I’m currently trying a full Power/Toughness/Healing (Cleric) armor set with precision upgrades mainly for utilizing the BM 25 trait (10% of healing is converted to power). With this, I hope to increase my survivability when fighting melee range during bosses.
I really love how the sword and dagger works, it has a great skill animation and mechanic. Unfortunately compared to other classes, you would rather rely on your pet for damage than go in melee and die. I hope sword rangers can get some sort of buff allowing more survivability vs dungeon bosses and not game breaking other PvX aspects.
I’m sure some of us will get tired of the stand-in-one-spot-bow-auto-attack style.

Is it possible to just give pets a buff when in dungeons? This would not affect PvP or open world at all.
For example pets would get something like a stat buff while in a dungeon instance.
