Just so you know, the only part of the NPE that Anet said you’d be able to turn off is the compass telling you where to go for hearts, waypoints and such NOT the level gating they added.

Chris, as a developer, do you see any changes being done to the new leveling system after having seen the community response to it? Also, if you haven’t already seen it, I would go ahead and take a look at Magical Mike’s newest video(you can find it easily on the top post of the GW2 subreddit). I feel it accurately shows the new features being pushed out for the new leveling experience from both a vet and a new player standpoint.

Hey there! I had a question regarding the status of the offline/block feature. I did a bit of looking around to see if anyone had the same issues I have with the current system. As it stands, there is currently no way to make it so that people can’t see you online in a permanent sense. If you block someone they still see when you come online, what character you’re on and where you are in the game. I feel if you’ve blocked someone it should show you as offline all the time and shouldn’t reveal any info about what you’re doing.

Similarly, the current offline function is only available once you enter the character select screen. At this point you’re already shown to be online to anyone that is on your friends list/follower list/and even blocked list.

I’m hoping with this thread to maybe get some kind of response from Anet on the adding or the non-desire to implement improvements to the current system. The last response from Anet on this issue(that I could see) was well over a year ago saying that they would “look into it”. So yea, mostly just seeing if there is any progress in improvements to this system or if there isn’t why that would be the case.

I’m getting the same issue here. Tried looking for a solution but nothing seems to work. The download was working earlier today, now it goes for about 400kb then just drops to 0kb/s and sits there. Any ideas?

Hey Gaile I had a question about whether or not I should be submitting a ticket for my Karaka Event Issue.

My issue is that during the Ancient Karka event i managed to get to the 2nd to last event in the chain(the one where you use vents to damage the Ancient Karka) before disconnecting. When i got back on i was in a different district that was about 5 or so events back from the district i had just been in, and had to play from that point to the end boss(I made it this time to the end boss and looted the chest).
Now, my question about this is, since i disconnected the first time during the event and ended up having to put at least another 2hrs extra that i would have not had to do had i not disconnected, does that “qualify” me for an Ancient Karka chest to be sent in my mail? Personally, I don’t want to waste the time of the people that have to go through all the support tickets, as well as waste time on false hope on my end, if I’m not qualified to receive the Ancient Karka chest.
