Guild Wars 2

I had struggled with this problem myself for a while, and I think I found an answer to help you out;

The choice really comes down to your play-style, not the damage it deals or the “tankiness”. The warrior is an aggressive, heavy-hitting class that anyone can play, being very versatile with the weapons he/she can use. The Guardian (my personal preference) also has great damage, but the difference in his/her play style is that it has a support option, which does not take away from the fact that Guardians can be heavy-hitters as well. While with the Warrior you’ll mostly be shooting/swinging towards the enemy, Guardians have the option to do that or help out their teammates. Both great classes, I’d say Guardian is a bit more demanding (of course not as much as a Thief of Engineering), but more flexible in terms of his/her uses.

I actually just started my Asuran Guardian last Friday and I’ve gotten him to 45 (now Monday) through all the ways listed above. Here’s my advice;

Guild Wars isn’t really a game about the quick climb to 80, it’ll be tough (without gold that is) no matter which way you look at it. If this is an alt, I’m assuming you’ll have a bit more knowledge about the game and can efficiently try everything. Crafting is worth the investment, especially in the later levels. Event farming isn’t fun, so I suggest exploring, doing the Heart Quests that seem fun or easier, and get as many POIs, Vistas and Skill points as possible. Tackle the personal storyline and do the occasional dungeon and WvW visit to keep yourself entertained. If you’re not on 24/7, a week is a good estimate for getting to level 80. Good luck!

Additional Comments: I’m more of the quieter type, but I love playing in groups. None of my friends play the greatness that is GW2, which means I’m usually going solo. In result, I’m looking for a laid-back and welcoming PvE/WvW Guild. Looking forward to meeting anyone who wants to play!
