The one time event is one time for everyone, so that way it cannot be spoiled across time zones.

I’d be interested to see if most people here go to church, never mind if most people are still at church at that time. Also, 12 noon PST is 3pm noon EST, I doubt that people will be in church that late? Anyway, not trying to start a religious debate (Definitely not the place for that), I am just saying that might not be the best argument against noon for the event.

Personally, noon on Sunday is one of the most ideal times for me to log in.

Also… if you were there at the halloween event, you know that you had 2 full days to run the Mad King dungeon. The only thing missed at noon was a pretty cool cut-scene (easily watchable on youtube). This cannot be repeatable, because it wouldn’t make sense. The cutscene opened the gateway to the dungeon.

ANet, I think you are doing a fantastic job with these events. I love that some things are one-time. Even if I miss them, it makes the world feel more real and dynamic. Cheers

Please understand. the fact I brought up about church was simply directed towards the topic of concurrency in the amount of people online nothing to do with a debate on who goes and doesn’t. You can log on at those times and see how dead the servers are compared to 5-6 est look at wvw and cursed shore karma farm spots. nice that it suits you though.

I believe that the talk about player concurrency is bunk I think this is the best time for ANet workers simple as that so just say it.

We run one-time events at the time where we have the highest concurrency.

While that makes complete sense this is a NA server and as such should not be for the highest concurrency where in you take in all the people in account outside NA. Nothing against them but they choose to play on a NA Server the events should be catered around NA times.

The ending event on a sunday though at that time… you can’t tell me you have the highest concurrency on a sunday @ noon in NA most people are still in church.

Heres a pretty cool image from the MK dungeon , i fell and instead of being teleported back to the top and smooshing to the ground i hit the edge/died and bounced off into the water below and the angle i was at of the moon made for a pretty cool picture.

The best way for a player to assess whether a specific third-party program could have any impact on another player or a PvP opponent is to ask:
• “Does this program allow someone to play faster, better, longer, or more accurately than someone who doesn’t use it?”
• “Does this program allow someone to ‘play’ when he/she is not at the computer?”
• “Does this program allow the user to gain undeserved rewards?”

I think your not fully reading the post that was put out, it clearly states anything that allows or even possibly allows you any advantage over someone else you should not use. Using such macro does in fact allow you to play longer and in some cases better and faster. Using a macro over button mashing one would not get tired so easily. As well as instead of having to focus on that button your hitting you can just hold it down and focus elsewhere allowing you to play better.

Don’t get me wrong im all about the Naga but as usual the post by ANet is very subtle to not fully say yes or no to any of that and i urge you all to be very careful in what you do because ANet support will not do anything for you when you cry wolf you will only receive a copy + paste response back.

Just saying , do you really have any idea that this is a ‘World First’. There are tons of people playing this game with no ‘inspect’ option to look at others gear. Just because no ones had it on the Trade Broker doesn’t mean it hasn’t been crafted yet. Not everyone who plays posts forums .

What armor/weapon runes/sigils would you be using here.

But Gaile… fact of the matter is its not about getting the account back as that is the easiest part considering you have all your original info to prove who you are. The fact here is the inability for ANet to provide any service on lost items of any sort, where as there are only 2 ways someone can remove items on your account 1. Drop them (Delete Them) 2. Mail Them. I know the Trade Broker has an option to track transactions also merchants have the buy back feature, why is there not one for personal Mail whether it be for the last 20/40/100 what ever it may be mails sent. Should be able to track them and return what was sent to its owner.

Just makes no sense Anet is basically saying well heres your account back but your out of luck on anything that was taken, ( insert copy and paste 3 paragraph robot reply about an article on security).

WE GET IT, we know your working on PREVENTING it from happening and good job on that but that still leaves the problem with the people who it is currently happening to while you guys work on stuff .. with no help from ANet on returning anything but allowing us back on an account that everything they worked hard for gone… Just dont get the mentality in who ever in the management team there in that decision.

The biggest issue i see is the fact they don’t have any system for the customers as far as a rollback feature. While they state they dont have the feature… how did they rollback those that exploited the karma bug… i just dont get it. And to top it all off is the fact that customer service is all robots you’ll never have an actual conversation with someone who isn’t copy + pasting 99% of the text you receive.

Yup , same thing happened to me……………. AND it seems like support is copy and pasting responses back to the customer.

And to think i actually thought customer support was decent @ arena net when in fact i should have known anyone combined with NCFailSoft would have horrible service.

I understand thousands of support tickets out there , but at least give the customer a feeling that its an actual person that actually fully reads the entire ticket instead of just seeing oh hes been hacked ( Finds the Sorry Youve been Hacked Answer )
