I can add my two cents that GW 2 is using CPU at about 55% – 75% (sic!). When playing since 15.09.2014 (first entry in log) i had: one BSOD Code 116 (GPU related), several instances of “Driver fail”. Did clean install of old driver same story.
To check if its on my end i used Furmark. My GPU was stable under 99% load and at 72-73 C. PSU also works fine so it provides power needed. Memtest turned also good. Did sweep for any “unwanted guests” also nothing.
Anet fix your game, money gonna run from you if you don’t pay attention to how your game works.

Also, as side note pls provide information that we have 3rd party software running in background and it was brought with update. I don’t like to see 2 new processes running and having to google them up to see what they rly are, or to inspect folder to find license for them. Shadow games are bad for business these days and don’t help it.

I need help, instantaneous crash on launch.

Can your tech department finally do their job?
Just got dc-ed from fractals funny thing so did 4 other ppl, first we ALL had lag at the SAME time then dc. You fixed nothing, promised allot like you always do now days.
If you have problems adopting china build (yes dont lie its not that) to EU and NA servers then pls put servers down, do maintenance and fix problems not multiply them will save you both money in long run and melting client base. And if by any chance its whole Data Center problem as we, for some reason that is beyond me, share with Wildstar then maybe talk to your NCSoft gods to move it and FIX your game.

At the moment from technical point of view i can’t recommend this game to anyone with clear continence. Its a mess and your patches don’t fix problems. If you expect me to support this game you are dead wrong.

Two ppl (necro and thief) killing others while under the map.

Well this is not fun, adding to great experience i have with the mega server in PvE I wonder why I should keep playing or spend any $ on this game to support it.

Well, I defended these new events at first..

So anet makes an absolutely beautiful and intricate mmo with NEW and FREE content every two weeks and you scrubs complain about it being too difficult!?

I find the content annoying due to people there. I know im playing MMO thank You very much for emphasize this on each and every occasion but Open world content with this whole overflow mess is just bad design. In order to get to my own server i need to be 1h ahead of time. Then i need to hope that ppl there know what to do and how to use their class so they don’t melt in 2 seconds.

This content may divide player base on servers and i don’t think that was the plan. I agree this should be locked into instance so we wouldn’t have to sit over 1h to give it another go just not to loose our spot on main(home) server.

Also drop the tone, there is plenty on mmos coming out that may draw away some player base.

No longer a carebear game. Gratz

And hard is the wrong word anyway.

Okay the correct word is difficult. Like I said…. GW2 is a carebear game.

- Guild Halls for adding more social aspect to them
- GvG, putting aside lore this game is called guild wars
- DX 11 support/better usage of new procersors to make more use of GPU instead of CPU/better usage of multithearding
- New Dragon to kill or Z was the last one we ever going to kill?
- Fix for the final story boss fight as its kitten boring
- UW/FoW or at least 1-2 dungeon(s) that will not disappear after 2-4 weeks.
- Hardmode without cheap shots from the mobs like it sometimes happens these days
- Codex Arena with fixed random build each day (maybe on rotation? ) like in GW 1
- More emotes especially those for which commands are in the game but there is no animation
- Tengu or Kodan as playable race
- Being able to trade without use of Black Lion Trade

Temple of Balthazar event impossible

Previously, NPCs could die and their death would count towards a max number of deaths morale could have. Now, all NPCs health pools count towards “morale”, so if all the health pools are zero at once the event fails.

I’m not sure how it got missed in the patch notes, I know I wrote one. Sorry!

Previously, the event failed after X Pact NPC deaths. This meant that if you revived one of the NPCs, you could actually bring the event closer to failure if the NPC died again, so it was better to leave any dead NPCs behind and never revive them. It’s now based on the current total living Pact members, if they’re all dead at once, the event fails, but reviving the NPCs will cause the morale meter to rise. As long as one Pact NPC is alive, the event keeps running.

There is thin line between challenging and down right unfair, guess on which side You are with most of the game content.

Well let’s start with this, if the game causes to get you high temps its either
a) Cooling related
b) Sloppy code

If the problem is narrowed to just one game which is Guild Wars 2 for normal user it would mean thakittens game fault and… partially they are right.

The thing is Anet adds to its problems rather then solve them, they are using DX 9 with god knows what instructions. At this point this game is code nightmare, got my i5-2500k cooled with Corsair H60 in Corsarid Carbide 400r case (dual 120mm front two 120mm on top to cool down mb) never seen a game to get CPU over 54 and then I met GW 2 and hit magic 68 degrees.
According to SolarNova I should be thankful because apparently i have cooling issues that glorious Guild Wars 2 discovered. Well Sir i will disagree, if the game uses as old libs as DX 9 its only sloppy code that is the root cause of the problem. Don’t play white knight for Anet, sorry but they are to blame for this. How come newer and more demanding games, even when there is a lot of things going on screen, are failing to get my CPU that high ?

Its easy to say oh You have cooling problem, which is like missing the mark by a mile. This game needs to get its code cleaned and instructions fixed, sorry but adding more bricks to the top of the wall doesn’t fix gaps in it, it only makes wall easier to collapse.
