Hi Gaile,

My ticket number: #121110-000361

Quick summary: My serial code is from a physical retail copy of Guild Wars 2. But I was banned. The supporter said “The Guild Wars 2 Serial Code used to create your Guild Wars 2 game account was initially purchased from our site fraudulently.” That make no sense to me.

In my ticket. I attached a photo taken the serial code in the Guild Wars 2 box.

How to "legitimately" purchase Guild Wars 2?

Yeah, I’d love to buy a physical copy of Guild Wars 2 and avoid the joke that is their support service, but I have a mac and apparently only the digital copy is available.

I bought a physical copy and has exactly the same problem as your.

As I can see the only way to be sure about cdkey’s originality is to buy the game itself from physical store.
That’s what I am going to do… so I will be sure about it… OR NOT?!

My serial key come from a physical copy but I had banned few days ago. The guy who sell it for me must have been break in ANET headquarter and stolen the CD.

I got the same problem and exactly the same response from this “Steve S.” guy. My serial code is come from a physical copy which I cannot understand how can it be fraudulently purchased?
