Short Description: There are many champion kills and events where participation is not counted or is not high enough which causes people to not get credit.
Long Description: In areas with high player turnout for champion kills or champion events, players with low damage can be given no credit for the kill and sometimes even for the event in which the champions were a part. The issue seems to be that it is reliant upon team damage, which can be troublesome for those not grouped and those playing support roles over damage roles.
A great example of this is a pre-event for the Jungle Worm world boss. This pre-event involves an event with 3 champions. From the perspective of a support character (Druid/staff) I have damaged from above 50% health down to below 50% health on the champions and not received credit for the kill (noted by not receiving any experience). Even when managing to do damage (both in the above 50% life phase and below) on all 3 champions, without receiving credit for an individual champion kill no subsequent credit is received for the event.
I apologize that I have not kept track of all the events and champions where this has commonly occurred.
I also do not know other game specific solutions for this. However, I do know that some games will consider healing as a factor of contribution, others will even consider specific buffs from support characters to the support characters dps. There may be an even more creative solution for GW2.
Thank you,
Connie Marie
This thread is about how both my husband and I both feel about GW2 as well. We were very excited to start, but now it feels just like a gear oriented grind fest with unbalanced combat and spammed world events lacking the quality that I’ve come to expect from the GW team.
I want to enjoy content and to be able to play casually while my husband plays more hardcore.
