Guild Wars 2

Hi everyone! I was looking to return to GW2 after a break. I currently play another popular MMO but I’m looking to possibly swap over to GW2 full time if I can find a good group of people to play with.

I enjoy all aspects of the game, but I am looking to start over with a new character this weekend (or perhaps waiting for the trait rework on Tuesday). I am looking for a guild that I can hang around with and do things with, but not one with hundreds of members where I will get lost. I want to get more into PvP since in the past I have only really done dungeons and fractals, but I still enjoy both.

Let me know if you are recruiting a returning player who is looking to dedicate more time and participate in fun events!

About me:
I’m on the NA servers, but willing to make a new character anywhere. I usually play all the time on the weekends (I juggle a few games), and after 6 PM EST on the weekdays until I finish my last year at college where I will probably have different hours.

Thanks guys! I’ll use the next week to check out the new zones on my current 80s and look into the living story chapters from the gem store. Then once the progression overhaul, I’ll work on a new character. I think I’ll make an Asura elementalist and mesmer and decide which I like better. Also, I’m a US player and will look a bit more into server choice, but as you pointed out for PvE (and which I didn’t know before), the open world is meshed together.

Is engineer any good right now? I want to try and give that a shot as well.

Hi guys! I have a bit more time now and was looking into returning to GW2, but I have no idea where to begin. I have a few 80s already, but I want to start over on a new character before the expansion releases.

Does anyone have any advice on which server to select for my reboot? The biggest reason I left in the first place was because I had no one else to play with. Also, what is there to do now after exploring the world? I don’t think I have any of the “living story” unlocked because I haven’t logged in in quite some time.

Lastly, what are your favorite starting races to level? I’ve only done human and charr so far, and want to try something new. I also know picking a profession is a personal thing, but I was not impressed with the Guardian or the Necromancer (I had a Charr Necro and the light armor looked awful imo). Are there any other fun casting professions you would suggest?
