That would be an extraordinarily bad solution. New players aren’t guilty of having all the free slots for the Revenant.
Veteran players are simply getting a lot less, when they have clearly given more.

It’s actually more than that. Fill all your slots with characters, and buy the extra slot for the revenant for $10 more dollars.

I absolutely agree with OP.
Yes, there was tons of free content, but I’ve multiple times supported ANet for that by buying gems.
The main problem, in my opinion, is not the price, but the fact that players that have played the game since the day one, are getting far more less than the new ones.
