Same ehre, only with level 9 and a deer chest.
Guess no reimbursement will happen…
So........mesmer pve complains....do they really only apply to Orr farming?

Mesmer lacks skills that can reliably do enough damage to the mobs that spawn to “tag” them for loot drops, since you need to hit them all at once and for enough damage to count for loot. I’m talking about the DEs where large numbers of mobs spawn and the entire zerg just wipes them out in seconds. Warriors and Guardians are probably best for this since they can just Whirling Wrath or Whriling Axe but Mesmers and Thieves get shafted pretty badly. The best you can do really is use Blurred Frenzy and hope to tag a bunch of mobs as they run by.
No problem with that at all with my GS spec. My berserker whirls through a lot of mobs and the rest I tag with mindwrack and GS 2&3. If all that is on cooldown I just run in and 5. Sure, my engineer has an easier time, but not really that much.
Hey guys,
I just leveled my mesmer to 80 and now want to buy some gear mainly for PvE and dungeons.
I read that many suggest using 100% Rampagers gear (power/precision/condition) with a GS/Staff (using staff only in longer fights) spec.
Now, I was at the exact same situation with my engineer, where most people recommended going rampagers gear with a pistol spec. I tried that with cheap green gear, and instantly noticed how much it sucks vs turrets, gates and other statics and especially under water, so I switched to rifle/berserkers and am MUCH more powerful, even in PvP.
Rampagers did a lot of damage, even when I wasnt able to directly attack, but overall, it was actually much harder to survive, because kills took much longer, and especially in Orr that meant more adds due to mobs that patrol or, since it took longer to kill, due to respawn.
Now I see the same problem with that with the mesmer. Even with right now only berserker gear (albeit 60ish), I have huge issues killing statics and under water its not the best either. It would suck even more if I would switch to condition.
So why is rampagers considered being so much better than berserkers? Overall I can only see disadvantages, at least in PvE, since most of my damage is due to mind wrack, mirror blade, mind stab and the berserker and warlock. I also dont really see the use of focusing on condition damage, because everything else than veterans, champions and dungeon bosses dies much too quickly. I actually sometimes have problems shattering my illusions quickly enough, before the mob dies. Especially with the addition of crit damage at later levels I noticed SO much more burst damage, that I dont want to miss it anymore.

High End Computer Still Getting VERY low FPS

michaeljhuman, some people think its bad, other dont care much. My friend for example actually thinks the whole game is slow because of that. And there are situations where it really can be annoying.
There are quite a few videos on youtube about it, showing how bad it can get.
And yes, its much worse with reflections on full.

Ran the game at first with an i5-750 @ 3.8GHz, old GTX 260, SSD and 4 GB RAM at high settings (everything on max except reflections set to sky and terrain, AA off and post processing off).
Worked kinda ok. Sure, FPS were only around 20-35, but for the most zones it was enough, even in big events with dozens of players. Only when I entered jungle-type zones, it dropped to 15 fps, which was simply not enough. So I bought a GTX 660 and it is now super fast, at maximum settings. Getting 60 fps (vsync on) all day, with rare and short drops to around 40 fps.
The bigger problem with this game is that it has MASSIVE load stuttering. I mean, when I switch to the desktop (with GW2 set to fullscreen in options) and switch back to GW2, the first few camera spins stutter horribly, you can actually call them freezes in that situation. And that is loading from a fast SSD!!! Normal load stuttering while playing is barely tolerable, but still annoying sometimes.
Oh and yeah those load stutters do show on the FPS. I am pretty sure some people experience this here, because if it stutters that horribly on an SSD, it will stutter MUCH worse on an HDD.
Oh and my CPU usage is around 60-70%, with one of the cores almost maxed out, while the other 3 are around 30% or so – typical for games that are not well multi core optimized.
