Guild Wars 2

So I started rolling a Guardian and I’m trying to figure out what to roll on him for crafting. I was thinking Armor/Wep but I already have that on my Warrior. I didn’t know if there were any other viable skills for a Guardian or not..?

Hey guys. I just started playing GW2 today and my first character was a Norn Engineer. Hes pretty fun but seems a little squishy. As of right now im dual-pistoling with explosive shot, poison, static, blowtorch and glue. i picked the first turret as my 7 skill but it doesn’t seem to do much damage… If anyone could help me with what skills i should pick up or how to boost my survivability, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the quick replies, everyone. Thank you for your suggestions/help. I greatly appreciate it. I did check out the wiki, Grunim, thank you for sharing. I’m excited to try out this new game and get started. If only the download would speed up! :P Speaking of which, is there a certain point in the download where I’ll be able to play, or does it have to be fully up-to-date?

So, as the title states, I am a new player. Like, still downloading the game, new. (Although I have played a handful of MMOs) So I was just wondering if anyone had any tips/pointers for me before I start playing. I have no idea what class I’m going to play, or even what race. Any suggestions in that area would help too. Anything you guys can throw at me would be greatly appreciated.
