Guild Wars 2

Im aware there has been several posts asking whats going on with their FPS issues and why they cant reach ‘x’ FPS in certain zones. I’d really like some reassurance if possible from someone from the team if there is anything, anything at all they can do to reduce the pressure the triple tier is putting on my computer.

I have my settings on the lowest possible setting just to get my FPS close to 20 in the new zones and its really putting a damper on the gameplay. I can’t enjoy anything in its actual beauty and combat is fruitless.

The thing I dont understand is Ive never had issues on a packed server in the Silverwastes, Lions arch at peak hours or even a dungeon with x monsters all over my screen.

Is there any plans or fixes for the future to aid those with average/less than average computers?

Glad I’m not the only one having these issues. I made a post to Reddit earlier today with the same concern and someone mentioned how since the new zones are actual 3 tiers ( canopy base and roots) the game is working 3 times as hard to render everything around it.

Unfortunately I dont have the luxury to take everyones advice and “just go out and buy better PC specs”… Im left to not even get to play the new zones yet since I drop to 10 fps on the lowest possible settings.

This has been happening to me after the patch yesterday in PvE… It wouldnt even let me open the client after my first crash last night, so I had to do a hard reboot overnight and it worked great until about an hour ago…where it crashed again

I’m running this on Mac Beta and for some reason I was experiencing some lag and then all of a sudden, the game froze for a good 2 minutes then closed itself saying there was a serious issue and arena.net was sent a message.

I’ve never had this issue before, I cant even click the icon to try and open the client.

Is this happening to anyone else?
