Berserker vs. Balthazar runes for burnzerker?

Probably should have researched this before investing in making my full set of berserker runes, but that double 5% damage increase sounded to sexy not to try on my sinister geared berserker.
Still I’m curious if anyone has crunched the numbers on this, does the duration increase of balth on just the burning do more for me than the 5% damage increases on my bleeds, burns, and direct damage?

PerplexityTerror Reaper?

So my wife has asked me to help cobble together a condition based Reaper build for her necro to use when HoT hits, mostly just for PvE and the occasional run in world vs world. Short version of what I came with is a Carrion stat based Reaper that uses decimate defenses to get the crit necessary for condi procs (making it hit close to sinister once the vuln stacks get up there), with the usual terror-mancer stuff layered on top , and dhuumfire (because with all that vitality from Carrion camping Reaper shroud makes sense). That bit isn’t really what I need advice on, I know what she likes to use playstyle wise, and as this isn’t her main it hardly need to be super meta.

What I need some opinions on is whether perplexity runes would be worth it. The kitten things are expensive, and while I can see the value of a fear interrupt that condi spikes someone with fear, chill, and confusion, I worry it may be to much of a one trick pony when we can invest in much cheaper runes that give her a much more even boost to her condi out put (like say krait or nightmare). What do you all think?

I’m think maybe keep it weak like it is now, just SEVERELY reduce it’s energy costs.
Makes less of an either/or choice with the other utilities, and also I’d get to walk around like kittened six eyed spike demon thing more.

Has Anyone Managed to Create a Viable Dagger Necro?

I’ve run double dagger pretty much exclusively up till this point (level 50 atm), just cause I love the vampiric flavor of the whole thing.

Over all the build rocks for solo/duo PvE, it thrives on being surrounded tons of enemies for you well to hit, and your death shroud life drain…holy jeebus that thing and a well of suffering combined cankittennear kill half a dozen equal level mobs and leave you with a full health when DS drops.

In fact the more I play the more sure I am deathshroud is the key to the whole survivability. In particular I think specing 30 into soul reaping (in addition to 30 into blood clearly) might just be the key to making the dagger build survivable. In addition to helping with the whole extra life bar thing, it helps with how reliant you are on well cool downs, giving you a chance to regularly chill in death shroud while you wait to spam wells again.
