Same issue. The dye works the way it should on the actual character, but the preview in the dye window is broken and shows it all as one color, no matter what you have selected. It only shows the correct color for a section if you keep your mouse on that section. I have heard a lot of people comment on it, so it seems to be a widespread issue.
