Sea of Sorrows
I too have always had FPS issues, but lately it seems to have been spiking to leading to a massive server disconnect that takes me right down to the start screen. When I go to relog in, it takes almost five minutes to just get to the character screen.
I have had to avoid doing any of the massive group events and the dungeons because of it. Lion’s Arch is a pain and I avoid going in until I really have to.

These are the bans that occurred on or around the times of December 17th to the 19th. I have scanned, scoured and reviewed almost every post that has been posted to the tickets for review (3 days and older) as well as the Account Issues forum. I have sat here for 12 days wondering if anything is going to be done or if we have received “our final answer”. I check the forum at least twice a day and make my husband check his email everyday.

I apologize in advance for posting yet again on this matter. I have sat here with much trepidation on posting this thread but I am at my wits end at what else to do. I am normally a very patient person but I am starting to get really worried that we are going to to be out an account. I have a few questions on this matter that I need answered before I buy a new game.
Do we need to worry about his GW1 account as it was linked to the GW2 account?
Are we able to “unlink” the banned account from his GW1?
Do we need to get a whole new game or is there way I can get a new activation code?
Where would I get this activation code, I do not like paying for things online so a retail place would be nice. We originally bought our games from EB Games can I return there and just get a new code?
Has he lost the ability to link his GW1 account to his this new GW2 account that I may have to get?
Will his original account be fully removed or is going to be “floating” around the system?
I am really trying to be understandable about this, but the lack of feed back is starting to weigh upon me and probably a few others that have received this. I am not going to lament about him missing most of the Wintersday event. I am not expecting any compensation for the termination of play, we would like the account back or at least a definitive answer of its not being given back because “this” program modified the game.
I apologize to those hard working people that might think that I am being “pushy or whiney” but I am really just trying to get some answers. Each time I log in or my son logs in I get a sudden anxiety that something is gonna happen, it was just that fast.
This just isn’t about the game; its about the time and money that we have put into it. We are a small family guild that takes personal pride in each of our accomplishments as we are so small. Taking out one of the Leaders has put serious dent in those accomplishments.
I am truly hoping that someone can help me at least start the process instead of sitting here and worrying.

Again we have heard nothing from support other than the dismissive email that was received six days ago. Now I understand that its Christmas and soon to be New Years but we are starting to loose hope that anything will be done about this. We are starting to get the feeling that we are being “brushed under the proverbial rug” and hoping that we go away. He did not Mod or tamper with the game. It is kind of ironic that he would get nailed as he is one that regularly reports botters and those emails from the gold sellers. One of the biggest highlights of the game was the fact that the botters were so few and we hadn’t received one of those real life gold trading emails for a while.
He and I were playing as usual when he was dropped (this is not unusual) to which an update was at the same time, he updated and went to log in and was nailed with the account ban screen. I watched with horrified expression as we went through the links that were provided and found no information on it that we could understand, and was down heartened by the email response that Peter had sent him three days after the initial support email.
We run on a Satellite Internet system, with wireless router so the rest of us can play. There was three of us that all have the game but two of us are really jumpy about logging in as this is floating around out there and we have no information on what went wrong. We have discussed this with friends who are also now walking on eggshells when logging in.
I have gone through the forum looking for any ray of hope and found a few more tickets about the same thing.

I sit here waiting and hoping that we will get something from someone other than “you did it now go away” that it seems that it is; because he didn’t do it. I know that I am just one person in a sea of millions playing this game and that my word doesn’t speak for much, but I was there, I watched the whole transaction. We have stuck to the rules and was really enjoying the game, please please please re-review the ticket and instead of the dismissive go away email, tell us exactly what happened so that it won’t happen again.

This was an account ban for “tampering or modifying the game” which we still have no idea how it happened. We would like some answers as we do not want to replace the his game, or even really play ours due to the fact that we still don’t know what happened. We had not even received any contact from support until I had posted the first time and that email seemed dismissive. Is it safe to log into our games, are we going to fall victim to what this is?
After reading through just this thread I have found 4 other tickets that have been submitted for the same issue on or about the same day.

My husband was in the middle of playing when he lost connection with the server, when he went to log back in is when we found out to our surprise and horror that he had been suspended for “modification or tampering of the game”. There was no email sent, we triple checked. He went to research how to send in a ticket and then did so.
We have diligently check to see if there has been some response to his ticket, to which we have heard nothing from Arenanet. We are starting to get a little frustrated and worried by the lack of information. The game was not paided for online or by credit card but in fact was one of the pre-ordered from EB Games. I would gladly appreciate any information on this matter.
