No.
Keeping it at level 80 is perfectly fine, however they need to bring more skills to the game like what they did back in GW1 so you’ll still get the sense of progression even once you’ve hit the level cap.
I’d show you my sexy new healing ascended items but… -sigh- ArenaNet still hasn’t added them in yet. Guess they want everyone go Zerker. T_T
Change boss mechanics.
Put three bosses for last boss in p1, all three are immune to something.
You will need to separate all 3 from each other, as when all 3 come together hell is unleashed. Each boss requires a certain damage class and are immune to certain classes.
No more all warrior groups. This was just an example of a good boss mechanic.
I don’t think it is about certain classes, its the bosses that are too easy to kill.
With the recent GW2 Dev Livestream, they commented on how they’re considering on adding a new mechanic where mobs are resistant to AoE damage. They could also implement other damage types too, so it would hopefully encourage more diversity when it comes to dungeons.
Seriously I couldn’t help but noticed that there’s alot of hatred towards Warriors in this topic.
LOLOLOLOL 25k HB ANYONE!?! WARZ ARE SO OP!! /sarcasm
You’d have to sacrifice alot of survivability in order to pull off that amount of damage and from my experience inside dungeons, glass cannons tend to be quite a burden on the team.
So instead of complaining about Warriors, demanding ArenaNet to nerf them… why not look for alternatives because I know for a fact that condition builds needs some loving. Like removing the 25 debuff/buff cap in PvE for starters would be nice. Win/win for everyone in my opinion.
Personally I’d rather not have ArenaNet increase the level cap as I can already see several problems if they do. Not only that I don’t see why they have to follow suit with other MMO’s when they’re perfectly fine doing their own thing.
I mean, they should really stick to the original games roots when it comes to expansions… which is to introduce an entire new continent for players to explore and level. New professions, races, weapons, traits and skills but further allowing players to customise their build by allowing them to choose what skills they want on their tool bar.So there’s still a sense of progression as people will be earning skill points to further unlock new abilities/builds for their characters.
I think that’s exactly what a downflow server is — the equivalent of districting (but doing it automatically).
True, still it’ll be nice to have the freedom to choose where you’d like to go
Orr is dead, most group/temple events can not be done.
I just wonder why didn’t you realise it yet.
Where is our “downflow” system?
So slow development….
Why have a downflow system when you could easily solve many of the games issues by introducing the district mechanic which is what Guild Wars 1 used? I mean it’ll solve many of the games problems such as the lack of a guesting feature, difficulty joining your friends server due to it always being full and those annoying overflow/queue popups.
Before anyone who believes that this would effect WvW greatly, it won’t. You’ll still have a ‘home server’ you fight for but it when it comes to PvE, the GW2 community won’t be divided for the sake of WvW.
Will the CD Zerg be liberated from the shackles of the hive mind? Will EBay commanders solve their differences? Will Maguuma find new and wonderful ‘tactics’?
No, no and yes. So you can tell this week is going to be to unpredictably exciting! -.-
Hopefully they just slap a 15-30 second timer and be done with it like ever other MMO ever.
I really do hope that ArenaNet plans to implement this idea, cause I’ve encountered so many people logging off once they’ve been downed this week. I strongly urge those who are abusing this to avoid repair bills, being killed because of ego issues or whatever else to stop it. Because it’s only going to encourage others to do the same to you, and to others…
Will current legendary weapons be buffed (Ascended status) at launch of the Lost Shores? If not, when will that take place?
Has already been answered. Current legendary weapons will be increased to Ascended level with the launch of Lost Shores.
If that’s the case, then there’s going to be a gap between exotic weapons and legendary weapons for a period of time. This concerns me alot as it’ll give players that have obtained legendary weapons an advantage in both PvE and WvW content, stat wise.
What I would like to know is when ArenaNet plans on introducing more Ascended gear that’ll be available to the majority of players to obtain. Because the longer it’ll take for them to address these concerns the more divided the community will become.
I’m alittle disappointed that ArenaNet decided to take this route when it comes to end-game item progession. Because with Ascended items, not only they’re making exotics obsolete, they’re making things such as crafting obsolete too. Why? As of now, the only way to obtain Ascended items is through the Fractals of the Mists dungeon. Forcing players who want to reach the pinnacle in item progression through dungeons.
Another thing I’m concerned about is existing dungeons. With only one (and future) dungeons offering you a chance to obtain Ascended gear, what’s the point in doing the older dungeons? It’s only going to draw players away from existing content because it doesn’t give you high-end gear.
Oi! Me bois would like to huv a wurd with yah wid their dakkas! WAAAAAGGGGHHH!
‘Tis a pity there’s no greenskins in Tyria. hurrdurr. We even have skaven. Guess boyz ain’t that good of a survivors.
Ah! Over time they’ve evolved into a feline creature you know today as Charr. How do I know this you may ask? If you shave a Charr you’ll find that their real skin colour is infact green.
Guess the boyz are here to stay. Muhahah!
No, you’re not the only one who wouldn’t like new races being added into this game. I’d much rather have ArenaNet flesh out the current races as the majority of players play as humans.
Playable
Fav: Humans. Why? Because it’s alot more easier for me to relate to something that is my race.
Least: None. Played all races and have enjoyed them all. Expect there are some flaws with the larger races…
it feels like I’m running so slowly!! >_<
Non-Playable
Fav: Tie between Quaggans and Skritt. They’re both adorable and extremely funny.
Least: Krait with a fiery passion. I want to swim in peace!! GRRR!
Thieves, Rangers, Warriors and Mesmers seem to be quite popular at the moment. What I don’t see enough is Nercomancers… why are they all hiding away from me?! I’m friendly…. T_T
I think difficulty should scale slighty to how many people are in the area doing that dynamic event. Cause I find during off-peak hours, it’s quite hard to complete some of the events with only just one or two people and I believe people are forgetting about that in this topic.
First of all, this game isn’t designed at all for mounts. Instead there’s waypoints that enables you to instantly travel from a to b and there’s also speed boons that some professions can cast on nearby allies. By adding mounts into the game would only make speed boons obsolete.
Secondly, how stats are for the armor is perfectly fine as it is. If you’ve played Diablo 3 or World of Warcraft, then I’m sure you’d already know how much random armor pieces you get with useless stats on them. In Guild Wars 2, you don’t have that problem.
