Suggestion: Sales Schedule

Couldn’t you find the time to log into the News Blog website to view what’s coming up on sale each week? I mean most people have access to a computer/tablet/smartphone/etc. nowadays. Only takes a minute, or so.

Good luck.

No — between raising two children, running an office, advising the county, vacations, dealing with other’s vacations, arguing cases, meeting with victims, lecturing, just to name a few, some of us have very busy lives and logging into a site weekly, while the idea seems simple, is not always a priority or top on the list — such a task is quickly lost to much higher priority items.

But to answer your question with a question as well: How hard is it for them to come up with a monthly list as suggested?

But to move this post back on target — this was a suggestion to improve the level of communication and improve Arena Net’s sales.

Like many in this community, I have a real life which takes priority over gaming: children, job, wife, family, and friends. Because of this, I am unable to dedicate the necessary time to log into the website each day to find out if/when a certain item is offered for sale in the gem store. As a result, I have missed out on many limited items because of this which is a frustrating position to be in when you are reminded of that missed item each time you see someone running around with it. This has nothing to do with those items which are obtained through dedication, effort, and time — those I understand. But items released in the store for only a 24 hour period is not in this “grind” class. Even a simple vacation could throw even the most dedicated player a curve ball.

A solution to this problem would be to release a list of items near the end of each month for the following month of the date(s) that these items will be available and the cost. This way, it could be placed on the consumer’s calendar so that they will not miss this opportunity. I imagine since the game depends on this revenue, it would stimulate the community to purchase more gems.

I would also suggest that this list be emailed to the community (much like so many other ArenaNet emails I have received) — again, it would also promote and encourage greater amounts of transactions.

I’ve contacted Customer Support over this issue and they suggested I post on the forum — hence this post. They are unable or unwilling to assist with this issue currently. I hope the devs truly do review the forums as Customer Support indicated — the solution, on its face, appears to be fairly simple and easy to implement, and the end result has the possibility of greatly increasing actual revenue.
