PvE:

If it is still your first character, disregard this part. If you want to just grind exp, then go to edge of the mists. I can’t really help you anymore than that because thats what i do. Honestly, with edge of the mists, you can do both and get 80 in about a week (depending how much you play).

WvW:

Now I only have a warrior and is only level 43, but I know that warriors have strong damage and have multiple viable builds in WvW. For guardian, as I said I can’t say anything since I don’t have one. Go to this website: http://metabattle.com/wiki/ and see which one fits you. Guardian only has one really good build which is the meditation dps build. Hope this helped you

Hey guys! So I was watching a youtuber who plays warrior (shoutout to Vaanss :P) and he is really good! He made me want to play Warrior. Because on a couple of his videos he would be hitting people for 10-15k! And I was like kittenm son! So I started leveling a warrior and he is currently level 43 (I can level him to 80 easy though using a very special gamemode in gw2, Edge of the Mist). Looks like a all or nothing burst build rather than a dueling one. Either way if you are running dagger/dagger you need to have infiltrators signet so you can have more than just mug to land your CnDs.

Edit:
Since you are running the 100% crit out of stealth you might want to drop the trill of the crime trait and go shadows embrace in SAs instead. The fury overlaps with the 100%. A very common variant of WvW thief similar to yours but with a little lower burst and much higher survivability especially in 1vX situations is 2/6/6/0/0. In Spvp most people drop the SA and go 2/6/0/0/6 with d/d.

The crucial part with any d/d build is to make sure you time your CnD to mug/infiltrator signet so that it hits, for example wait till the roll or if they havent seen you. Otherwise you will have blown an important gap closer and you initiative without getting the stealth you need for your 100% backstab.

Thank you for your input. You don’t think shadowstep can close the gap? Or are you saying to put more gap closers in. And I meant you can post dueling builds not necessarily my build being a dueling build.

1. Sorry can’t help I’m fairly new to WvW
2. D/D is probably the funnest but also the hardest. I’ve played PvP with it and run 6/6/0/0/2.
3. You have to try to close the gap with steal or shadowstep. Or you could stealth before the fight and go on him when he doesn’t know. Other than that I can’t really help.
4. Thieves don’t have much survivability so soloing could be hard. Grab and group and do one.
