New “free” expansions & game bonuses based on game store sales. Have a sales figure quota in the game store that will push for new game content based on meeting that quota. This would motivate players to support new content and bonuses by purchasing more in game items. Give credit points for game item purchases to add extra value to in game purchases….go on from there.
This game is already free, besides buying it. They NEED some other way of making money besides the in game store. Xpacs being free = No. Idk about you but I would rather buy an xpac and support them in the game then get it free.
Demanding, are we? This game was intended to have levels. They minus well make a whole new game if they were going to remove the leveling system and everything that goes with me. It’s a terrible idea and wont ever happen. If you want a game without levels, there are a few out there, some evsn f2p and some b2p, so go on. Also, you have to realize whats a priority, and how much time things take. Adding more events to every zone could take months. Adding more bosses could as well. Improving crafting and guild features have been requested by thousands, doesn’t mean theyll do it right now. Its not a TOP priority there are other things to focus on.

Mounts/Addons/ and an LFD
Please add/allow these to the game. they are the biggest things in my opinion missing…
I keep looking back, and Plyaing WoW. I want to enjoy GW2, but without these elements,
I cant help but keep returning to WoW…
I thought Anet wanted to directly compete with Blizzard? Not to mention the lack of the holy trinity and Raids, I don’t see how they can do so….
Mounts arent needed. We have waypoints. If you’re so lazy and don’t want to take the time to discover them.. No ones fault but yours. Also, I played WoW for 6 years straight, I don’t NEED Addons to play Gw2. If you can’t play without them then too bad for you. If you can’t enjoy Gw2 because of it not having addons, well that’s just sad, for you anyway, not for many others. They shouldn’t HAVE to have mounts, addons, or a LFG as its properly called, in order to compete with blizzard.
Now, would mounts be nice? Sure. But in the long run are they a must have? No.
Would addons be nice? Sure. But in the long run are they a must have? No.
And same with the LFG tool. It would be REALLY nice to have but you don’t NEED it.
If you NEED it, then go back to paying $15 a month.
Also realize how old WoW is and how new GW2 is. You can’t have such high expectations right off the bat and try to compare the two games so soon.
I could, but sadly I don’t remember peoples display names (_.1234). That could even be a feature added to the forums, to show your guild or each guild to have a page. So many things can be done and hopefully will be at some point. But yes there are still issues with the current guild system in game, hopefully once they tweak things they can make an app.
So, I currently don’t have internet, I use my iPhone, which means I can’t check on my guild, I can’t talk to people, and that’s very bad considering I’m a guild leader. Even if it’s not my fault, either way it looks as if I disappeared and that can be very bad when it comes to running a guild. So my idea is:
Make an app that guild member can log on to using their Gw2 info, it’ll show every guild they’re in, and allow them to select which one they would like to speak in.
Since I know this game is B2P I wouldn’t mind and I’m sure many others wouldnt mind paying for it. Could have features to send whispers, edit MOTD, maybe even play with the ranks or with the upgrades. Possibly have an option that says “You must be representing this guild for __ days before you can speak in guild chat” and with that there could be upgrades bought with influence points to reduce it.
Just a thought. I’m sure its been brought up before, it would be something really nice to have for guild leaders who are away and for members in general.
If anyone else would like to share some ideas then please do and hopefully they’ll see this and take it under consideration.
Nova, I can’t agree with some of the things you said about WoW considering I’m a 6 year player, gaining money isn’t that difficult, it’s just different. Professions are an easy easy way (herblore, enchanting, mining, etc) as well as dailies. I have easily made over 100k gold in WoW, and within a weeks work I can have 5-10k gold. It’s not difficult, its not a chore as you may call it, you just make it that way. Lvling is a grind, yes. Yes it doubles sometimes tripples the exp the higher you are, but that shouldn’t matter if you enjoy the game. Hitting level 90 can take a month, two tops.
