I want to know, where I can get an ele pet?
This video is stupid, and the Kitten in it, pretending to be a Ranger relied on 2 Ele’s to carry his pathetic kitten , he only attacked none boss mobs with his own weapons, he did nothing that every other class in the game couldn’t have done better, you want to impress me with how strong the NEW Ranger is, do COF path 1 in 10 minutes with 4 rangers

lets look at the ranger class as it stands, It’s unwanted by anyone in Pve for anything, only one build was viable in PvP, and the class is pretty useless in WvW, I know of guilds that won’t allow Members to join with a ranger because they bring absolutely nothing to the guild.
My question to the Dev’s : "When you were children were you touched in bad places by men in the woods or were they carrying bows? is that where the hate is coming from ?

Do you even PvP? Trapper, BM bunker, condi ranger, all viable, we now have a few more builds added, and keep in mind this is for the “meta” which isn’t changing atm because people are too lazy or stupid to change it up atm.

No i stopped PvP and Pve also, too many whiny Kittens involved in both. I’ve tried every build you are speaking of and the only build i saw any success with was the BM, in PvP, but is completely useless in WvW. The pet stays dead most of the time. I’m happy you like the direction the ranger is heading, good for you bad for rangers as a whole

Since this patch on the 25th I have seen four rangers in WvW over that time frame, I know there are more, but I used to see 5 to 10 a night. I’m at a loss when it comes to my ranger. So i started leveling a guardian but OMG they are boring in WvW

Ok first off, if this Dev or any Dev for that matter really wanted to discuss anything about this class there are many people that would be more than willing to have a conversation with them, all he would have had to do was state his post and what he was trying to do but the fact is he came in here being an kitten lying with his one line comment.

For the love of God, stop saying “unparalleled archers” means we can use 3 ranged weapons. Archery is shooting arrows with bows (archery comes from the Latin word for bow, “Arcus”), it has nothing to do with throwing axes.

Yes, and Rangers are the only class that can use both bow types. Seriously, how do you people not realize how silly you sound?

I have to agree with the other guys, I’m not trying to be an kitten but don’t waste anymore of your time on ranger they offer nothing that other classes don’t do twice as well, Anet is trying to force everyone into a mesmer, Ele, or guardian they are by far the most over powered classes in the game and recieves tons of love from Anet.
If you decide to stick with the ranger i wish you well. I just rolled a Guardian myself

Every one of these classes excel at what your wanting

After this current nerf , the most logical thing would be to let the rangers charm

Mesmers, Ele’s, and Guardians
that will be the only way for the class to be viable

What happened to balancing with small changes? In one patch they did a massive nerf to the shortbow’s range, they move a 5 point trait that almost every build used to a 30 point trait (quickness on pet swap) and did an almost universally across the board significant pet DPS nerf. These are not small changes and they all came in the same patch. How is this fine tuning?

They had to, clearly rangers were so vastly overpowered in ANet fairy land.

There was a rumour that a ranger once beat a thief in WvW, ANet just had to act on that.

No i have to take responsibility for this nerf, I was able to take down and stake a Mesmer 2 weeks ago, my friend that was watching said you know they will nerf the rangers now right ? I’m so sorry guys it was pure kitten luck and I think he fell asleep during the fight .

I’ve seen nothing yet from this team that would warrant further monetary support on my part. Broken classes, zerg/pvd WvW meta, RNG skins? No thanks.

My $250 I pledged on Camelot Unchained is looking like a better and better deal on every GW2 patch.

I’m with you on Camelot Unchained.
They can forget about me buying anymore gems. After this Patch/ Ranger Nerf, as the Ranger is now a completely broken class I’ll be taking some time off from the game.
The ranger needed a 30% buff across the board, and reccieved a 30%+ Nerf. While the Mesmer and Ele needed a 50% nerf across the board, and got buffed. It looks like Anet is trying to force everyone into 3 classes (mesmer, ele, guardian).
Camelot Unchained can’t get here soon enough.
