Guild Wars 2

+1 to everything Dark said above. Dark and I co-lead NoTY, and between us we have many years of experience leading casual, focused guilds across several MMOs. I’ve personally been in the MMO world since 2003, and have lead these smaller guilds just as long. Dark and I are looking for people who play GW2 for the challenges it brings as a video game, and take those challenges seriously; not so seriously that we rage when something doesn’t go by the book, but serious enough to actually WANT to progress, grow, and learn as a gamer.

The one big point I’d like to get across for prospective members is that everyone in NoTY is an adult – we can take a punch just as much as we give one, but we will not stand for arrogance and trollish attitudes. Saying something off-color is one thing if you didn’t know any better, but if you’re being aggressive and confrontational, you will not be welcome to stay.

I’ve played MMO’s for 8 years, and come from a very structured, progression-based raiding background; Dark has extensive experience in PvP/WvW type activities, and has played GW2 since Beta. We’re both avid theorycrafters, and are always looking for ways to improve/maximize our builds and setups. If you’re looking to learn, we’ve got the experience to help you.

I’ve run guilds for over 4 years now, and have always focused on keeping my members close-knit – I don’t stand for any kind of cliquishness, rude attitudes, or hateful comments. If you can’t conduct yourself with respect and class, you aren’t welcome, simply put. Dark and I have seen all sides of the social spectrum in MMO’s and beyond, and we’re well old enough to know what is and isn’t acceptable to us. In the end, we’re all here to play the game, and enjoy each other’s companionship – it doesn’t matter what or who you are IRL, as long as you act like a respectable adult.
