I’m also willing to participate.
I have a L80 Warrior with ascended gear.
I usually run AC (any path and story). I also completed story for all dungeons but there are still some paths that I haven’t run (all paths done in AC and CM).
I am willing to learn and have fun.

1000 Gold Giveaway: need advice

Here are my screenshot competition suggestions:

  • Take a screenshot somewhere in Tyria, post it (minimap erased from pic), and the first three persons to find the place and post a similar screencap get a prize.
  • Selfies with a guild bounty target that is not in combat. The first users to post get a prize.
  • Selfies in an original location or a hard to reach place. This one needs judges to vote for best screencaps.
  • Name a monster (Veteran risen turtle) every day/week and the first screencaps get a prize.

Teleport through door in Ascalonian Catacombs

I found what seems to be a bug while playing Ascalonian Catacombs in exploratory mode, path 1.
While fighting the graveling burrows to protect Hodgings, my character was teleported to the other side of a closed door.
This happened while fighting the burrow labeled 4 in this guide . I was positioned between the door and the burrow before destroying it. The room I ended in was the room that opens in path 2, where the players man 5 spike traps to kill gravelings.

Copper-Fed Salvager Voicework Cut Off

I also posted in relation to voice issues. I don’t hear the speech of the ball of light in Weyandt’s Revenge jumping puzzle at Lion’s Arch.

Not only that, cities that were usually noisy are now much more quiet, and the teleporting sound of waypoints is absent.

Hope Ncsoft / Anet are listening.

Sound/voice issues

I recently posted in Tech Support an issue I have with the voice of the Ball of Light in Lion’s Arch

It seems I am not the only having sound issues

I asked the poster of the latter to check the voice of the Ball of Light and got the answer that he/she doesn’t hear it either.

My sound issues are not only limited to the lack of that voice, but I am also not hearing crowd sounds (in cities) and teleporting sounds when using waypoints.

All these lack of sounds reduce the immersive experience of the game.

Before the 9/9 patch everything worked fine, these sound issues came after the patch. The 9/11 patch correctly detects my audio device, but the sound issues persist.

I’ll try to repair the game client to see if this solves these problems, but if this does not resolve the issue then I’m out of options.

Even though I don’t have a top of the line rig, the game used to play fine before the patch, but after the new patch I have been experiencing a drop in FPS and a lag in sound and animations.
For example, when I use my signet of rage the shout “I can outrun a centaur” comes 1 second later and the signet animation over my character comes 1 second after that.

Before the patch I was always greeted by the ball’s voice when entering the jumping puzzle Weyandt’s Revenge at Lion’s Arch, but after the patch not anymore.
The ball moves around as always but there are no voice instructions on what is happening. I have ran this puzzle several times, so I don’t really need the instructions, but I do miss it. If this happens to someone who has never run the initial maze, he/she might leave without knowing how to proceed (specially near the end where the right drop must be chosen).
I don’t know if this is related to the lag/fps issues that the new patch seemed to introduce that other posts describe and that I also been suffering.

Salvagable items highlight disappearing

I also find confusing the glow overriding the rarity border since I don’t want to accidentally salvage a rare piece. Thankfully the glow goes away after the first salvage, but it does make me recheck which item is salvaged first.

I think that, instead of highlighting salvageable items, it would have been more useful to show the non-salvageable items to be darkened or grayed out. This would not mess with the rarity border of the salvageable items and would really make them stand out.
