+1 as I’m getting the same problem. Glad to hear that ANet is looking into the problem, but it is unbelievably disappointing that I can’t access the BLTP when Character Slots finally go on sale

The typical steps (Quit, clear the ~/Library/Application Support/Guild Wars 2/ folder, open Activity Monitor, Quit the CVMCompiler, Cookied, Wineserver, and Guild Wars 2 processes) don’t seem to be working this time. Occasionally, as others have noted, the functional UI components load but they aren’t styled and still don’t work. It sounds like a ton of people are running into the same problem so hopefully this will be addressed quickly.

I really really really really really hope this is fixed before the character slot sale ends. If I don’t get an opportunity to buy those slots, I will cry and then probably stop playing for a long time.

Make sure to type /bug in-game to submit a bug report about this. It sounds like ANet is already looking at it but hopefully the volume of reports will help to show how urgent it is.

Hello,

I don’t know if you’ve tried this yet,
Open activity monitor and search and close these processes while you’ve shut down Guild Wars 2:
– wineserver
– CVMCompiler
– cookied
– (two instances of) Guild Wars 2

Then just restart gw2 and see if it worked.
(If this was the problem, please let us know! These lingering processes are bugs. A patch to the mac client that forces a shutdown of these when closing the gw2 app should solve a lot of TP issues)

Just wanted to say that after clearing my GW2 App support folder, I tried the steps above and they worked INSTANTLY. THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!
