Hello, I think I have a similar issue that you do.

Does your crash look like this (see attachment)?

For me, it’ll freeze up for about 30 seconds to 1 minute (depending on how many people are on the screen) and resolve itself for the rest of the session afterwards. During the freeze up, the sound will be distorted, however I can move the mouse around.

That’s still strange though. Part of the reason why I stopped playing GW2 around 2 years ago was because of this problem; I’ve recently gotten back into it of course but the same thing still happens. It only happens with GW2 and not any other game.

Hello GW2 Technical support,

I have a graphical artifacting problem that occurs with my game frequently, but it occurs only once every session (on a per-game loading basis). What happens is that the screen and computer freezes between 30 seconds to a minute depending on how many people are on the map (the more people on the map, the longer it freezes for) and produces these strange artifacts on the screen. This will happen while I’m playing, but it’s random of when it occurs. And again, it only happens once on a per-game loading basis, so that’s once each time I load the game.

Now, before you say that it’s a temperature problem. I have personally checked to see if the temps of my graphics card are too high after these freezes and the temps always checked below or around 75 degrees C. My graphics card rarely hits 80 unless if I’m playing much more GPU intense games.

CPU: Intel i5-3570k
GPU: MSI Nvidia Geforce GTX 570.
RAM: 8 GB G. Skill DDR2 1600 Hz.

If you’ve experienced this glitch with the game and have found a way to fix it, please let me know and I’ll try it out.

Thanks for taking the time read this post!
