I would also like a Game clock. This is something competitors have achieved as well.
I dream a dream. A dream in which my armor is not bugged.
What who is this other Daedalus and why is he not fabulous…
Please do. There was one in the original guild wars as well. Furthermore I am voting for this because My long hair on my current norn glitches through a lot of the end game armor and its annoying as heck.
I just DCed from TA on the last boss with 20% of his HP left… logged back in… didn’t get credit for my daily missed my 18 silver and my 15 blossoms. I feel like I just took an arrow to the knee.
I agree as well.
I like the current setup. If you really need a carrot to spend the effort to get the legendary weapon beyond the rather obvious (and very uncommon, given the time required) look of the weapon, then this isn’t a game designed for you. The idea of stat capping and then having long time commitments for unique looks is a part of Guild Wars, from the first game. Many MMO vets are kittening about this, because they want their stat advantage, but that’s not the basic philosophy of GW or Anet.
I know that but this is why I am fighting it. I am flailing my kittens hard and will keep kittening until the day I die of allergies from the fluff of fallen kittens.
That’s fine, but you’re pissing into the wind on this one. The position of Anet on stat capped gear as a level field is as strong as their position against subscription fees — it’s pretty much a core of their design vision that runs through every aspect of the game (as it did for the first one). You’re not going to get what you want here, because you’re attacking a core design philosophy of Anet.
It’s a good thing my Kitten Granary is full this fall from hefty kat production.
I would like to see some of this listed evidence showing that people have this stuff. I have kudzu, both gift of wood & gift of nature and the bloodstone shard and I had a ton of time off work in between release and now. I was the second guy to 80 on my server and currently the best geared most achieving Ranger on the server and I am not even close to getting my legendary yet. Who are all these alleged people getting this stuff who are magically not posting any screen shots of their weapons or bragging at all.
Much less the fact that people are still clueless as to how to complete the weapons.
Lastly, “Lctl.6198” Yes that is the point i’m making. Only elite/hardcore people should benefit for being elite and hardcore… like every other game.
Also… in regards to all the “Dude its a legendary it is supposed to be hard” bs. You are not reading my post correctly. I am not argueing the path to legendary being challenging I am arguing the items are not worthy of the title of legendary.
I must be the only one to agree with you. Now I do understand what other people are saying and I do agree with them as well but I think there is a middle ground. The weapon can have something else besides more power and more stats. Something that would make it truly legendary besides just an aesthetic.
But a small stat gain would be nice, even if abysmal, to see that you have higher numbers on your weapon compared to others does make you feel like you achieved more.
No your not alone. There is a ton of people who feel this way they just are not very active on the forums. The forums are not an accurate reflection of the overall gaming community and also there is only about 3 or 4 people here actively challenging my perspective which is very minor considering in game I haven’t spoken much about it but already have like 100 people all feeling the same way as me within two guilds alone. This is a deep rooted question that I feel will be forever ongoing.

Wow… check out the pencil measuring up in here. Lctl.6198 your arguement is invalid because I have all the traits of your “victim” who apparently cant play a game from a competitive level. My guild must also be a write off because we are the top guild on our server yet we have people with all careers ranging from desk jobs to military and families as simple as basic marriages to people with kids who are handicapped. Obviously we all have no lives.
I also don’t see how “legendaries” = no life. It’s extremely easy to achieve overtime in regards to all the items required are easily solo able minus dungeons which are easily group able. The only “difficult” factors is its a giant time sink with a RNG powering it.
My arguement is that it is too great of a “Time Sink” for the stat reward. In regards to Archer.6485: that would be on the weapon. Considering all the other stats on your character it would equalize to maybe 3% more then everybody else which is tiny as heck and not game breaking at all.
Lastly, given the amount of time spent gaming in general our natural reflexes and pvp experience allow us to steam roll people anyway so i fail to grasp how 3% stat is going to drastically change anything or cause us to steam roll “that much” more efficiently.

I always take up the whole shot because I am Queen of Fabuland.
Hello forums,
It is becoming a growing topic as we progress further and further in regards to legendaries. At what point is it considered “too much work” for a “weapon skin”? This is a question I would like to ask the forums to see what others who are actually working on the legendary weapons as well what they think. I am not interested in people who are not interested in the weapons because they are not interested anyway.
I ask this question because as more and more information is discovered it is becoming readily apparent that this legendary creation process is going to be a multiple month process. That being said on any other game through my experience going over 10+ years this has been my first major mmorpg where I would invest significant effort over time in order to only get one cookie… which I cannot eat so to speak because there is no statistical advantage over having one.
It’s like buying a Lamborghini with a 2.0L Ti-VCT GDI I-4 aka — The engine a Ford Focus would have. Within the group of people creating legendaries on our server we all are mutually in agreement that there should be some kind of advantage to having one.. even if its only a 10% stat over an exotic weapon.
Guild Wars 2 is a great game but the lack of competitive PvE rewards limp noodles game play and considering its just release… content should be promoted with values as expansions/major patch are most likely at least 6 months out.
How did you get your norn in that outfit/armor? It does indeed look fabulous especially with his expression xD
There’s a renown heart in Caledon Forest that requires you to disguise yourself as a member of the nightmare court in order to go in a mess up their camp.
I’m assuming they dyed their armor while they were in disguise.
Also they are a Norn, which makes it more hilarious. XD
I did the expression while dancing and I the armor is Nightmare medium armor from the Twilight arbour dungeons Blossom Turn in.
Not quite as fabulous, but who can say no to that smile?
You look Absolutely Fabbbb as well dear. I love your happy weather!!
Common guys lay off the personal attacks against the original poster and have some fun. What’s wrong with a little messing around and such.
Who can help me become more Fabulous?!
What the … did I just view?
A god of climactic per portions. Please help me become more fabulous
My guild is in terms of overall achievement the most progressed guild on our server and we discussed this topic like I am sure everyone has and at the end of the day swearing is extremely irrelevant. Widely abused repeat offenders should have resources placed to prevent said offenders. I would say our perspective backs Gears point of view.
There should be a warning system in place with short term temp bans. There are much bigger fish to fry… like instead of wasting resources on this they could of specifically deleted all the exploited items in the recent unbanning of characters instead of “trusting” people to do it for them.
I think that at the end of the day choices of language are widespread and unrealistically police-able at a misdemeanour level. There is a reason why MMORPG boxs all say next to the rating some variation of “experiences may vary online” etc. If your letting kids you cant trust independently… your fighting a loosing battle.
I don’t promote groundless indecencies and social ignorance but i am a realist.
