Here is my Guardian – forgot the combo of gear since they have been transmuted so many times :P

OMG I love this Idea – I have to scour the forums to find little nooks and crannies around the World, but I guess its great to have it in one place!
Here is the Kitten Zone in WvWvW – instructions on how to get there for Ele’s and everyone else :P
Ah I found an old Picture of my guardian – This is what I run with when I combine Knights armor with Ranger/Lyssa Runes and trinkets (so basically Knights gear with berserker runes and trinkets). Mind you this is an older pic (can’t figure out anymore how to screen shot on a mac haha) – the the numbers are a bit low since the trinkits in the pictures are the older lower level trinkets before I replaced them – you still get a nice balanced idea though
I went full Knights (Draconic) gear with 5x Runes of Ranger and 1x Rune of Lyssa. I also couple this with 2 two handed weapons (greatsword and hammer), both with power/precision/toughness and both having superior sigil of blood. This brings me to this:
Power: 1646
Precision: 1743
Toughness: 1825
Vitality: 1343
Crit Chance – 45%
Armour – 3112
Health – 16, 201
I really like this build – the full knights gear adds the much needed Power/Precision/Toughness, and the 2 two handed weapons add that as well as cream on top. The Sigils of blood proc often enough that it is a nice heal. And the runes are there to up the crit chance and crit damage. Overall an excellent build I love. Might not carry the burst of a full berserker guardian, but I am actually able to burst on my own while still being survivable.
hehe. I am a huge fan of the Pact Crusher…. It fits really well with anything guardian like (since I transmuted my guardian shoulderpads into draconic ones to keep the skin).

If worse comes to worse Magmaton is also good. I run with both, the Magma one is for my berserkers set, the Pact Crusher is my Knight set
The simple fact is that AH builds were stupidly overpowered. And I play one.
I could stand there (in power/precision/tougness armor, with all power/precision/crit damage gems on it, and all power/precision/crit damage trinkets) and simply facetank the majority of situations. If I happened to be in a group that was melee heavy, it was basically God-mode. No class should be able to stand there dealing out great damage, constant party buffs, and be nigh-unkillable. Something had to give.
Having tried out the changes, I’ve found it’s not all that bad. You have to make sure your dodges are well used, but other than that, I haven’t found many issues with my survivability.
/agree
I have just figured out that instead of facerolling (Which come on guys – we all knew that it happened and we all knew how stupidly over-powered it was with the massive amounts of healing) you actually have to play to what the game was designed to do – dodge and be active!
So they made the dodging better, and took away the face rolling.
I see no problem – still running hammer Greatsword for the hell of it.
Any thoughts on any modifications/new builds now that AH has taken a sizeable nerf? Would a meditation-based Monk’s Focus build be better now? Or perhaps this makes Empowering Might crucial to maintain AH healing?
Yeah I was wondering that too. Was playing my guardian today and really didn’t notice that much of a healing difference as I know how to dodge out of the way. For me, standing there and just tanking it while dishing it out needed the nerf :/
Anyway I have somewhat switched my build a little to using this:

The empowering might still heals us, blasting combo fields still heals us – I really don/t think the build has changed much?
