It’s about doing it for FUN and not the rewards. Stop being so entitled. Can’t you just enjoy the Halloween event without constantly begging for money to be paid out for every corner you turn?
Jeez, what a bunch of whiny complainers.
Cool, why don’t you go run a dungeon and get no loot, or only fine equipment. Go run the zerg trains and get no backpacks or event completions. It’s only about the fun right?
Indeed. In the wiki about this puzzle the creator estimated maybe 5% of people would actually make it to the top. Now that was last year, of which I wasn’t participating because I got the game in July 2013. Which means this year some people with experience already knew how to get to the top, and you can maybe bump that figure up to 10% justifiably. I worked really hard to figure out and time the puzzle. Took me probably longer than most who completed it, but I spent 12 hours getting the puzzle down perfect and collecting all the chests along the way. And even then, if I slipped up once and lost a second I would end up behind and not getting all the chests. THAT was the challenge. Doing it perfect every time and getting all the chests. The reward? I could really care less about the gloves. The Trick or Treat bags were my reward. There are so very few ways of making gold in this game. Even less ways to grind it. They took away my only way of making decent money for only a couple weeks. What I’ve also heard is that people would farm the mats from the Christmas event. I fully expect they are going to nerf that as well.
I hate the zerg in the labyrinth. I hate doing it, I hate fighting through the mobs to get to the zerg, I hate the lack of teamplay , and I hate having to fight the monsters. It’s incredibly boring, yields nothing I want, and makes me walk away from the entire Halloween event thus far.
To all those who argue, this is not a paid subscription game, you’re absolutely right. But we did pay for it, didn’t we? We bought the box, some Heroic, or Legendary editions. That’s how it differs from other F2P MMo’s. Only we still have the cash shop and find all these new and wonderful ways for us to pay them money and get gems to get stuff from the cash shop. When you trade Gems for gold? 3.5-4 per 100 gems. When you buy gems for gold, 5.5-6g per 100 gems. I’m sure that’s a way of helping keep the economy from being that of WoW, but seriously? It’s really frustrating.
What I do appreciate about this game, is their attempts to keep chinese farmers out, to keep bots from spamming the Map chats, and keeping systems in place (Though after mailing 10 items through 2 emails ingame is apparently “Excessive”) to keep the game still clean and not crazy like so many other MMO’s are subject to. And I also realize that if I want to continue playing this game, this is what i’ll have to accept. But looking at the clock tower, what they did originally from last year, ( and this is from reading post after post of the differences from last year ) is change it so you couldn’t go in with friends, locked you into pvp gear, and stripped a lot of the fun that was there in doing the tower. Now it just seems like you’re forced into something else entirely that some people really just don’t want to do.
