Need to remember that if you fail in taking a temple you have to go through a rather long chain to start to unlock it, which doesn’t happen right away.

On the other hand, if your assault on the keep fails, you can regroup and try again rather quickly. I am curious if you have ever tried to unlock Balthazars Temple? Gates of Arah?

Do think they may want to up the rate from a Keep, but not as much for trying to take a temple (I’ve been in temple fights where we have mass zerg, 40+ and fail)

Stop with the debuff zergs

As one person mentioned, the maps are really small overall given the size of the zergs involved. I have ideas to hopefully reduce the mega zergs, especially off hours.

1) Remove all WP upgrades in the boarder land maps. Allow SM to have WP but the spawn timer works differently than it does now. Have it start the moment fighting stops and/or walls/gates repaired. IN BL’s instead of a WP you can order an upgrade to keep siege weaponry that still adds in the supply from building the WP (and can cost the same). This improved siege weaponry can have slight bump to damage, range and in case of cannon reticule size. In case of oil can grant person there perm stability and offer some other defensive buffs that don’t make manning oil suicide. Also, these improved defensive weapons have increased health pool.

2) Other issue is use of WPs now to mass rush in mass of players to save a keep/SM. if not removed have it so there is a rather long debuff and have it set so attacking/killing INNER guards resets the WP timer. Make it so spawn timer is a bit longer than re spawn rate for guards.

3) Not sure about viability about this idea but allow spawn WPs to be contested if your already in WvW for short 1-2 minutes. Of course it only affects those who are already in WvW. To stop people from just leaving WvW and going to the out manned map have leaving WvW cause a simple 1 or 2 min debuff that prevents requeing. This debuff even runs if your offline so if you crash your not really penalized.

Idea/goal is to not debuff a zerg but rather truly penalize a server/commanders for rolling that way.

Golems: Game breaking?

put siege behind the door, use oil, have spotters,place people at garrison watergate on top with a superior arrowcart. have people chack everything in the bl and walk around. golemrushes on your own borderland usally get poetaled from spawn.most of the time the takem out near victors/heros/champions then takem through the water past the ruins right to watergate. yes golems are powerful ad even more if timewarp is there…but hey huge golemrushes failed before…

Prior to a Golem rush you kill off the canons and oil. Rarely have I NOT seen this happen. As far as Arrow Carts. We lost a fully upgraded Garrison w/ 2 Superior AC’s and 3 normals. Golems took those out before we took them down.

As for spying, the new ‘thing’ to do is veil them and just walk them up. What happened as well when we lost Garrison. We actually had the siege manned because, as I stated, the group came in before and cleared oil and cannons they could clear.

The only real ‘counter’ to this is to have a major force stationed at Garrison 24/7 to be there immediately to counter, since they can bust through 1 gate and get the next one kitten close to down before you can get there and react.

Ranger going Invis

Yah, there was no smoke field, they were at higher health than 10%. So not sure what.

Thanks for the feedback. And deepwinter, I do play a ranger, and did not use ANY of the above to trigger Hide in Plain Sight.

First off, I have a lvl 80 Ranger. I am curious, what ability allows a Ranger to just go invis at will it seems? Only thing I can find is Hide in Plain Sight but that only triggers if dazed etc. The thing is, I wasn’t using any dazes etc.
