While we’re on the subject, I think there’s simply too many pointless foods. Why would anyone buy a “X% chance to gain Might for 30 seconds after a kill” food when they could simply buy “+X Power for 30 minutes” food.

Many of the foods are interesting, but the effort/cost vs benefit is out of whack. If these low-benefit foods were very low cost relative to other valuable foods, people might use them. There are also plenty that have useful benefits currently, but they have unreasonable recipes relative to other useful foods.

For instance, I might use the Rare Veggie Pizza for the bonus condition duration and damage on my condition-build elementalist, but the total number of ingredients is simply ridiculous. It requires crafting 7 products with a total of 17 non-crafted ingredients, of which 9 are gathered. Compare that with the popular Omnomberry Tarts, which require only two products and a total of 6 ingredients, of which only one is gathered.

My wife’s account is having the same trouble. Can log in anywhere but LA just fine. In LA, hangs on porting in and eventually gets punted. We’re grouped, so I ‘join’ her and I see her standing in the game, but she can’t get past the splash screen.

I had her try the same dns flush that was proposed here, but it had no effect.

Just wondering what the requirements were for qualifying for the chest? I haven’t gotten one yet and support just told me that if I haven’t gotten one by now then I don’t qualify D= (and yes, there is plenty of room in my mailbox)

I received a similar response from Anet on the 15th, with the effective statement that failure to receive a chest is proof positive that I shouldn’t have received one. The carefully worded response implied that Anet didn’t actually look into my specific query, but the Anet team is confident that they got it right on the ones they did look into individually.

I suppose that the message is that Anet is tired of looking into this, the door is closed, and I should be happy that at least some players had their queries individually reviewed and satisfactorily addressed.
