Story completion reward is a joke

If you take the time to actually read your personal story objective, you would know that to complete your personal story, you need to visit fort trinity after killing Zhaitan.

At which point you still only get a token for a fail rare item… which you probably don’t even need, because you crafted or bought an exotic weapon already.

OP is right, the story reward is fail.

You don’t use the weapon for the stats, you use the weapon for the skin. It’s a free reward for doing something that takes barely any effort. What do you want? A free legendary? A full set of ascended armor?

Also, in case you hadn’t heard the news: The personal story, and all rewards therein, is OPTIONAL. If you don’t feel it’s worth your time, skip it. And stop whining about it.

It should have a good reward if it is “OPTIONAL” because you didn’t have to do it.

Dynamic Quest Disappointment

There are a few features in GW2 (dynamic quests in particular) that I’m very disappointed with, I was just curious if anyone felt the same way about them as I do?

Personally I’m not satisfied with the dynamic quests in this game. It’s not that I particularly enjoy the other quest system in other MMORPGS such as Rift, WoW, TERA, etc but I do enjoy them a lot more than this. I understand the point of them was to mitigate the grinding involved with leveling up however it actually made me feel worse about it. Choice, as always is good. I do enjoy being able to go to any Heart I want to and there be a chance for a random event to also be going on at the same time. However the heart quests are just as grindy if not more grindy then normal quests except they do not tell you how many. Instead you just have a bar, which imo really was a bad idea. It cuts my motivation in half not knowing how many I have to kill, I know minor but still figured I’d mention that part. But what really disappoints me about the dynamic quests is the constant need for others. I don’t mind playing with others, I mean hey that’s the purpose of an MMO, yet when the option isn’t available to play with others (such as what time it currently is, if people happen to be in the area you are, etc.) it’s quite simply too difficult to do these dynamic quests solo, most of the time you just get steam rolled. A rift approach would have been a lot more satisfying, where as you quest like normal and there are things like dynamic quests however they are not only optional but completely avoidable. I may be the only person out there but when playing other MMORPGS I actually read the quests, I enjoy lore. But in GW2 besides your personal story (which are lacking in their own ways) there really isn’t much NPC interaction. I’d enjoy actually having to go talk to a person read what they have to say, complete it, and return to more conversation. It just adds to the atmosphere and lore, it makes me feel more like I’m apart of the world instead of just playing a game.

Overall the graphics in the game are very nice, and I enjoy the initial character customization. Beyond that though I feel the game is very lacking. At this point I’m going to continue playing, give it a fair chance but this is only because I already purchased it and there is no monthly subscription. Hopefully I’ll be able to move past the initial bad taste in my mouth.
