I second this.
Moreover, with my main character a mesmer charr the appearance of the shoes do not fit their purpose.
The sole of the shoes usually extends to their ankle, but they do not need any support near their ankle. The sole would only obstruct their movement.
If i would have to change it I would redesign the whole shoe or give the option to remove the shoe circumventing the isue.
The lack of footwear goes really well with the nature/animal attunement of most of the races. (the exception being humans)
