The problem is not 1 time for 3 hours, it’s multiple times for 3 hours, only to more than likely fail in the end. Even after you succeed, you have a VERY limited amount of time to find 2 pets before you’re booted back to the beginning.
I and my husband were finally able to do it on our 6th try after a “New Build.” Crossing fingers that this is now fixed for everyone.
For your wolves’ names, you could use Geri and Freki (the names of Odin’s wolves)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geri_and_Freki
and for your Raven(s), Huginn and/or Muninn (both if you have the White Raven from Heritage stuff.)
Two serious potential problems with the proposed Ele changes. ~snip~ Do not force me to spend hard earned gold to fix the mess you create by changing the rules to the game.
Go to your class trainer and ask to retrait. It costs a little over 3s. You DON’T need to buy a new book, or spend “hard earned GOLD.”
This will be the build I try for PvE/WvW/Dungeons come Dec 10th changes. It gives me the ability to slot in more pet bonuses when I’m solo or duoing, and then slot in Spirit boosting stuff when I need to do a dungeon, and change out for melee weapons when ranged isn’t feasible/desirable. Please don’t flame me, I’m trying out the theorycrafting thing, and I realize this may suck.
Support/Trap/Spirit (with the 2nd tier of Nature Magic being the mobile spirits after the change)

I use Sigil of Perception on both because, #1 they’re not over 8 gold apiece like Bloodlust, and #2 when I have 25 stacks, my crit% gains 11% – and I’ve noticed the stacks DON’T go away when you swap weapons, only on down or zoning (and land to water, maybe.)
Any constructive tweaks are welcome – but I LIKE LB/SB for most of my running around.

This is the kind of build I’m looking for! Not for sPvP, but for solo/duo PVE. I love longbow/shortbow, I much prefer to stay out of melee altogether.
I’m a returning ranger (I have a level 80, a level 60 something, and 2 level 50 something rangers – don’t ask), so I don’t know a lot of what has changed with buffs and nerfs, and what rangers have come up with to cope. That said, what is “stealth finisher” and “stealth stomp”?
edit: NM, think I get it – you go stealth right before you “finish” the downed foe.

Having NO luck getting a combo field stealth to work with a blast finisher. I’ve tried Big Ol’ Bomb, Rocket Boots, and Detonate Healing Turret with no results. I have been able to trigger it with Jump Shot (leap finisher) though. No luck with Smoke Screen from Flame Turret, either.
I’m totally not twitchy enough to be able to do this in battle. The only one I could see being able to do would be the Elixir S.
Just made an Engineer last night, been playing around with builds and skills in the Mists…and I can’t find this Stealth skill you guys are talking about. Little help?
Oh, she’s level 6, so I REALLY don’t know what I;m doing at all…

Looking at this link, http://i.minus.com/ibbQWuOMhst3Hi.jpg it appears the pieces are:
Mask: Rogue
Shoulders: Duelist
Coat: Rugged
Gloves: Duelist
Pants: Outlaw
Boots: Rawhide
That said, I have no idea where to get them. I do think the entire Rugged set is pretty awesome, though.
There’s also the Guild Wars 2 Interactive Map, a Google Maps style map. If you scroll in a bit, a Menu will pop up along the top. Look for Ranger Pets and click on Toggle points. Once you’ve toggled Ranger Pets on, the text will no longer appear with a strike-through.
If you happen to find other Ranger Pets out in the wild, you can add your own points to the map, which will save it locally to your browser, and you can also submit it for inclusion to the map everyone else sees.
On my main Sylvari Ranger I’ve found all 36 of the non-HOM-exclusive pets. If you have any questions about where a specific pet is found and you can’t find it on that map (like the Wolf) just let me know.
Juvenile Wolf is found in the Umberglade Forest in the Eternal Battlegrounds. Took me 3-4 deaths to get there. No, I don’t know of any non-PVP area to tame them.
