Update: I went ahead and re-downloaded the client and I’m still having the same problem. The repair data archive ended up saying ‘not responding’ after a minute of it being up. I relaunched the client after that and the repair thing didn’t pop up. I wish I knew what was going on.

Hey guys. Occasionally when I exit my game, the client will crash. I end up having to sign out of Windows to close the program.. task manager will open, but I’m not able to end the program from there. When I go back to open the client, I’ll sometimes get the ‘repair data archive’ message. I have checked my hard drive, ram, drivers, etc. All is fine. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and wonder if that has anything to do with it. Up until before I upgraded, I never encountered this problem. Has anyone else been experiencing this? Is there something I can do to fix it? I’d really like to avoid re-downloading the whole game if possible. Thanks in advance for any help!

What is the name of the installation file? I would love to try out your suggestion. I’m really hoping this will fix it!

Hey everyone, each time I restart my computer I have to re-install my graphics driver for Guild Wars to work. I’m not sure how this problem even started, but it gets annoying. I have googled a lot to see if I could find anyone with a similar problem. I found one and followed the instructions to fix it which was to remove Catalyst manager and my graphics driver, install driver sweeper to clean out the rest of the drivers, disable A/V and install updated drivers. Before I did this the driver version was 8 something and is now 13.4. Unfortunately, this didn’t work Would anyone have a clue what is going on? I will appreciate any help/advice you can offer!

Just to let you guys know, I finally was able to play GW! I had to uninstall my driver.. I have AMD Radeon HD series. I’ve been reading up on a lot of people having to roll back to the previous driver update in order for theirs to work also. I hope most of you have figured out your problems now and are back in the game

I’m still experiencing my client freezing up when trying to play. I’ve tried everything.. msconfig, reinstalling .dat, drivers are up to date, restarted my computer, nothing is working I am so anxious to play the new update!

I’m having trouble logging in as well. I just finished updating my client from the patch, but when I try to click play, the client freezes up. I was wondering if others were having the same issue.

So, I keep hearing D/D ele’s are getting nerfed on the March 26th patch, but I’m not finding any information on what exactly is getting nerfed. Do you happen to know? And how will this affect this build?

Thank you for making this guide, it’s helped immensely. One thing I thought is worth mentioning. Between page 1 (the original spec) and page 9, you’ve kept the build but changed your focus on gear substantially from PVT/Clerics to Knights/Berserkers. Someone viewing the guide for the first time isnt getting the full picture so my suggestion would be to update your guide to reflect the gear choices you’ve made over time. That’s valuable information there that might get overlooked. I know I did

I agree. I just finished getting all the armor you described in page 1.. and now just seeing that your gear has changed, but I’m not complaining at all. I love the AC armor. The stats are really good and I’m loving the survivability.

This build is amazing! Thank you for all the detailed information. I recently just switched my build to yours after running a staff forever. It’s so nice having more survivability.. It was quite annoying being squishy most of the time.

I do have a question for you: Since you can buy ascended gear with laurels now, which ones do you think would be best for this build?

So I’m guessing the kick off event on Friday is a one time thing, and not continuous throughout the afternoon/evening? I unfortunately will still be working when the event kicks off and would hate to miss it!
