you can only glide in an area if you own the objective there, I think that will stop people just gliding into objectives they don’t own

Personally I think it might be a good idea to not allow gliding if you’re in combat.
On a side note – desert borderlands, rather amusingly, usually has a k:d of less than 1 for all servers because of the fall damage and clumsy people, will be a shame to see the k:d on this border to be normal like the others haha

I’ve just noticed that Vizunah Square and Jade Sea are linked, and I’m guessing that together they have quite a high population. They’re comfortably winning their matchup too by the looks of things.

The 3 servers currently in T1 are significantly above the others servers in rank, and so only get matched against each other it seems at the moment. In the past I think there have been manual changes to rank in order to get servers into the correct tiers

I just wondered if this manual rank change was something feasible, since T1 has had the same matchup for 3 or 4 weeks already, and is likely to continue to have this matchup for a further 2 or 3 weeks while other servers try to close the rank gap.

when I look at the leaderboards in the community tab on this site is says that we’re in tier 1 along with Piken and Jade sea

I thought they’d said we got linked with the other servers as we had to try to match the french server populations. We then get put with significantly lower tier servers for 2 weeks making people stop playing and defeating the purpose of the relinking as we’re not facing the french servers.

I am a player on the server Whiteside ridge, which is a fairly low population server that’s always been in or around bottom tier. We were originally linked with the server Ring of Fire which is also, as far as I know, a fairly low population server. I’ve enjoyed playing with the other server for the past couple of months, but was looking forward to the relink and the opportunity to play in higher tier servers and not be stuck in the bottom tier every week. Relink time comes, and we’re partnered to the same server again: Ring of fire. From what I’ve heard, and understandably so, many people on the two servers in the linking are quite annoyed that we’ve ended up together again. This is not because we dislike each other in any way, it’s because we know that this means we’re now stuck in bottom tier again for a long time. I and many others were looking forward to a change but instead we’re stuck doing the same thing all over again. It’s making me consider giving up on wvw altogether for now, which is the only thing I’m playing the game for at the moment. Is there likely to be another re-evaluation of the server linkings in the future, or is the only way we’re likely to experience higher tiers of wvw through spending all my money on transfers, and having to leave everyone I’ve come to know on this server behind? I’m not intending this to come across as rude, and I like the changes that have been made so far to world vs world, but the prospect of staying bottom tier indefinitely has really made people want to play a lot less.
