No one else has noticed this? Does it only happen if you have more than one signet equipped?
Still having this issue, now it is downloading a 10,340 kb file every time I start the game, before getting to the login screen.
I just noticed the same thing and was going to make a post about it, when I noticed your post.
It happened on my ranger. I am using 2 signets, signet of the wild and signet of the hunt.
Every time I join a Spvp map their passives become deactivated.
So far I’ve managed to activate them by switching them out and back in, but it doesn’t always work right. One time by activating one signet it deactivated the other one.
Pretty annoying, don’t really feel like playing my ranger and dealing with that every game.
Anyone have any ideas? I didn’t have this issue from the start, it is a recent (as in several days) occurrence.
Every time I click on my GW2 shortcut to start the game I downloads a 10,307 kb file before I get to the login screen. I tried repairing the client, didn’t help.
I don’t know if this is relevant, but it might have something to do with the issue: I just built a new desktop and i didn’t download the game all over, but copied the game folder from my old computer. I start the game using a shortcut i created to the GW2.exe file.

Happened again just now after being stealth stomped by a thief in Khylo.
Pay attention to when it happens and you’ll notice it happens after a thief stomp 90% of the time.
Happened again just now after a thief stomped me, wasn’t even a stealth stomp, just a regular one. Happened also once yesterday when I volunteered for auto-balancing, I got switched to the other team and got stuck in an endless loading screen.
Most often though, from what I’ve noticed, it happens after a thief stomp.
Happened again just now, after being stealth stomped by a thief on my human ranger on Forest of Niflhel map.
Getting stuck at the loading screen after dying has been happening a lot lately to me. I’ve been paying attention to common factors at each occasion and the 3 last times it has happened to me was after being stomped by a thief.
It is weird, but it has happened on several different classes of different races. The only thing in common, being stomped/killed by thief.
