Again, you did not pay for the mac client. That argument isn’t going to ring any bells for ANet support.

Vince, what are you talking about? Are you being very technical or something?? Because in order to download the client, I had to make an account. In order to make an account, I had to PAY for a CD-Key… Sooo, yeah… I had to pay to use the mac client.

They should really open this up as free-to-play for Mac users during this beta-phase… It seems like I’m one of the many who are having problems, and can pretty much not even play the game for more than 5-minutes between crashes. Which is just too frustrating for me to continue dealing with.

Anyways, thank you, FlamingFoxx, for your constructive and helpful reply. I’ll do that and may return a couple months down the road to see if this game has become playable for my computer— which, I must add, has; plenty of processing power, memory, and an expensive graphics card to boot. The thing is pretty much brand new.

You mention getting a refund… How can you get one? I’d like one, as the game is unplayable for me. Seems ridiculous to take Mac users money with their client in its current state.

And I never expected it to work 100%. However, I did expect it to run for more than 5 minutes without going to a black screen and crashing.

What you’re saying pretty much is; it’s my fault for being stupid enough to pay money for a beta-client. I’d have to agree, lesson learned. But I’d like my money back if possible.

For some reason I doubt this company will give me my money back… But I’m having so much trouble playing this game: constant crashes, mouse look problems, etc, that render the game such a pain to play— that it’s basically un-playable. This is my first time playing any GW game, and needless to say I’m greatly disappointed. It just doesn’t seem right that I should have to pay $60 to play on a bush-league client that’s still in the beta phase. Normally beta tests are free, no? I should have known what I disappointment this would be when it took me over 3 hours and had 2 credit cards get locked while just trying to buy this game!! Anyways, as you can see I’m very upset that they are taking people’s money, with a product that’s clearly not finished and in my case— not even working. I’d like a way to get my money back. I did not pay $60 just to not be able to play. Thank god I didn’t buy the collectors edition.
