Went up to the top, beat the boss and could not get off the platform or get the chest. If we jumped we died and our corpses were immediately transported to the top platform with the last boss. There was no way to get the chest. We got two achievements. We all exited the game, logged back into LA and the Fractal entrance only gave us “Story Mode” as an option.
Same here. Killed the boss, then the party was trapped at top, with no way to get to the chest. Got 13 silver, some xp and 2 achievements, and still not able to enter normal fractals. We didn’t even wanted to do this kitten story, we wanted to run a regular lvl 18 run, but that’s not an option now.
You know that the gold to gem market is working like the stock exchange don’t you? The price of one gem can change minute by minute. Currently one gem costs 6.75s. For 200 gems, that is 13,52g. The problem is, you can’t say you want to buy 200 gem. You can type in the gold, and see how much gem you can get for it. You need to pay 13.5875g for 201 gem, so if you type in any value between the two, you still only get 200. The extra is for tax
Now, in your video, you managed to get down the price by 10s. For 200 gems, that means the gem price went down by ~5c in the 3 minutes while you were trying.
Mine also went missing from the bank
Dailies should be designed to keep players actively participating in the game in a way that they enjoy. Being able to complete your dailies in 20 minutes doing things you don’t enjoy is bad. Being able to complete your dailies in 2 hours by doing whatever it is you enjoy doing is good.
The solution is to make daily achievements repeatable. Instead of giving me 1/5 dailies for killing 10 invaders in WvW, let me get 5/5 for killing 50 invaders. That way I can do what I enjoy doing and still get my daily as long as I play long enough.
Obviously a change like this will require tweaking the existing achivements. For example, Anet may have to increase crafting and gathering requirements (e.g. craft 20-30 items or gather 50 materials to get 1/5). That way only the people who actually enjoy crafting/gathering will complete them and they may even welcome not having to do WvW or dungeons to fulfill their dailies.
The problem with this is, there would be people, who grind through all 9 category in all 5 tiers each day just for the achievement point. And do the same with the pvp daily too. No, this even makes sense, as achievement points now worth something. And soon, the forums would rage that the system is unfair, as whoever has 6+ hour to grind through all, gets the shineies faster.
There are already a 3 wvw related option in the daily, and there are usually a few easy one. It is actually really hard to play for 2-3 hours a day, and not complete your daily accidentally.
Man, read the release notes. You can claim as many duplicates of the skin as you want from the achievement panel with any of your character. The skins are actually soulbound to the character you created it.
No.
Because a lot of people don’t like WvW. Which is why most Legendary makers farmed EB JP’s back in the day.
I have to admit, you have a point there. With the easily obtainable achievement badges, no one is forced to set foot in wvw who is not interested, and not taking up spots from actual defenders.
You can’t not deposit them because they’re soulbound, you can’t deposit them because you already have a pair in your PvP locker.
All PvP items are soulbound to the character they’re on, you can only have one of a particular type in the locker at any given time.
So is the pvp locker character specific then? I thought the locker was account based.
I’m not sure how I would have gotten one of these gloves before though, I don’t PvP.No, it is account bound, but I’m almost 100% positive if you go to the locker, you’ll have a pair of Stalwart Gloves sitting in there.
Well I’ll try to remember to check tonight. Not sure how I would already have them, unless that achievement chest gave me two of the same thing. I always assumed you could just keep adding stuff to the locker and it would just keep increasing the number in there. Never thought it would be only one of a kind in there.
PvP locker is one per item. All pvp item are soulbound when placed in the inventory, but become unbound at the locker, so you can withdraw it with other characters.
Also, it is possible to get the same item multiple times from a pvp chest, my record is 4 of the same focus from one chest You can salvage the extra ones with pvp salvage kit, and the materials can be used in the MF to create different pvp items.
I’m not sure if my guardian has ever had a ruined chunk, but my necro practically can’t even imagine she’s in combat without all of them being ruined.
Guardian has Aegis, that absorbs the first hit. That is usually enough to successfully harvest. On my ele, I tend to fire up Archane shield for gathering ori if I feel I’m in danger. The 3 block is usually enough to finish the mining.
They will be back sooner or later. Probably with different color or something.
That’s brand new, right?
Right. I have the original set on my Mesmer, but I gladly buy another set with different effects for one of my other frequently used alts. Now I feel guilty for mining a cooper node on my warrior to complete the daily, but I happily jump out of my way with the mesmer to chop down a low level sapling
This has never happend to me while farming in cursed shore and i get attack alot when i chop, mine and harvest!
You are lucky then. The mining and logging animation is quite long, and if you take damage while you swing your axe or pickaxe, you get ruind log or ore. This happens with every gathering node, but the herb harvesting is much quicker, so it is rarely affected.
Race is just a cosmetic thing. I doubt anyone who wants to change the character’s race is concerned with what happens to the personal story. There are options in that:
- Reset it, you have to do it again from scratch. It can be done as you don’t get item rewards for steps you already received before race change, but that is not really necessary. There is nothing unique there that you cannot acquire by rolling a new character.
- Generate a random line to the point where you are standing. I doubt most would care what is in the personal story log.
Racial skills are also not an issue.
- Refund sill points spent for them
- Do nothing (Again, I doubt most would care to loose some skill point, probably has enough spare to unlock the new racials anyway, and even if not, they are rarely part of any build)
Racial armor:
- Convert it to the new race. This can be abused to get the emperor title by buying one set, and race changing to all the others, but this can be countered by either making the title only consider items in your inventory and bank, or by making the price so high, it would be cheaper to buy the other sets then to race change. This might sound high, but with the current gold inflation, we can get to the 20G to 100 gem ratio quickly anyway.
- Do nothing with it. You can use transmutation stones to transfer the skins to an alt if you want.
There is no limiting factor in theory. The limitation is probably in the architecture (hard to refactor the code to support it) or in the resources (no free developer who can do it).
I agree, the amount of badge seems a bit much. I don’t wvw much, only ever set foot there to do the monthly kills required earlier before the selectable monthlies, and to get the gift of battle. It was not hard, but took a few hour. It was an item on the to do list for legendaries. Now that item is stroked through. We are at the 1500 chest currently, and got 400 already. I bet the next chest will again contain at least 100, so now if you want a legendary, you will need 2000 AP. There is no way you don’t gather that much while you do the other things for your legendary.
Toss them into the forge.
This only happened to me with mobs like crabs and scales which had the “regenerates health” ability. Players also has abilities that makes them invulnerable for a short time, so I thought it is their skill. For the crabs, it even have a unique animation, the crab goes back to its snail house, while doing this. Becomes invulnerable and a regeneration boon appears on it. After the boon wears off, the mob is attack-able again.
Do you experience it with other type of mobs too?
