Can we at least get a promise on no trinity and no raiding? Or is it only a matter of time?
Anet doesn’t make promises, because then their players will get mad when they eventually break them.

That’s the worst part, they’ve broken the trust of their userbase and now whatever they say can’t be taken at face value. This is what is making me seriously consider a refund, even if they take some action on this (which seems unlikely atm), whatever they say about the future of the game has to be taken with huge bag of salt. So, staying with the game, even if they normalized ascended with exotics (which they won’t) and said they won’t do it again in the future, it becomes impossible to trust them again because they already went ahead and exacted changes that blatantly disregard their stated design principles. CCP had that confidence shot, but they never got to the point of actually implementing that garbage, IIRC, and that makes a huge difference in how it affects player trust.
The worst part is that they are well aware that they betrayed that trust and don’t give a single alpine skelk about it. Or maybe the worst part is that they seem to wants us to believe that addressing the need of those people who hit the gear tier plateau for more gear tiers is not a Sisyphean task and that they’ll certainly be satisfied forever with this new tier, so don’t worry.

“We don’t need to make gear treadmills”
Colin Johanson on how arenanet measures success
Oh, man. That’s just sad to read today.
It’s sad that ANet would decide to so deliberately and so directly betray the manifest through which they raised their player base. This does not bode well for the game’s future and removes a trait that distinguished the game from others in a stagnant market.
Now, maybe they will address the players’ concern and rectify the situation in some manner. I’m not counting on game developers to have some humility and actually pay attention to their audience however, though I have heard that ANet is rather good in this regard. For now, all I can do is monitor the situation and see what the future holds for this game. My motivation to play it has been shot, but we’ll see what happens. I’ll warn friends to whom I have recommended the game to hold off on buying it until we see a pattern emerge in the development of this game.
Sorrow’s Embrace Story, Crystal Desert. Party was not unable join dungeon and attempting to enter the dungeon through the door individually led to players being led to separate instances. Two attempts today.
Some bugs for this area I encountered in Crystal Desert
- Group Event “Kill the Flame Legion Shaman” near Old Piken Ruins: The shaman “Rankfur the Smolderfist” does not spawn, this also prevents players from acessing the heart vendor in the area.
- Area Goal “Help Braxa Scalehunter tend to the Devourer Nests”: The devourer queens spawn with no health and can’t be interacted with.
- Area Event “Escort the iron shipment to Cowlfang’s Star”: The NPCs related to the event don’t move.
I had that happen to me, but only two of the children couldn’t be talked to for some reason.
I ran into him while playing in Crystal Desert and not only he is invulnerable and with his buff that knocks people who approach him down, he’s stuck in a tent near Blackwing Excavation knocking down an NPC over and over, as shown in the screenshot.
I did it. You can interact with the thing when the farmer appears as a merchant on your map.
I ran into this issue today. We took her to the mortar room and she simply didn’t react. We actually and went back to clear the other set of stairs, walked her all around the room and nothing. We just had to quit.
For some reason he greets you when you approach the area, I checked the area around – along with other players but he was nowhere to be seen.
There seems to be two problems with the event. First, one of the NPCs the player is supposed to be protecting doesn’t seem to leave the Priory camp north of the event area. Second, there seems to be a problem with the path finding of the rest of the NPCs as they become stuck in area of the swamp with one of them standing still while the others walk back and forth trying to find their path, this goes on for an indeterminate amount of time, I personally waited through four enemy respawns with no progress.
Screenshot is of the event in question.
