its not just luck , there is a method to using the mystic forge without wasting 100s of gold . Find someone willing to explain it and you will be much more successful in getting precursors.

Seems to be some kind of scaling bug with the great wurm , he is getting insta killed as soon as he spawns … i mean like 1.5 seconds after spawning he is dead .

Might not be scaling to amount of players present when he spawns so taking massive damage will end the event before he even renders on screen for some people .

same here 7/8 , working on a mesmer to be complete on all classes .

Server Desolation : Event stuck in Queensdale , so the doors are not opening as they should be . Has been stuck for over 12 hours now .

Its possible to get ALL of the books with even a level 1 character . I have gotten them all with all my toons , several of which are lvl 4 -12 . With several of the harder areas such the mini dungeon , just wait for a few high lvls to clear it first , then just follow after them Have fun and good luck .

We have the exact same problem on sever Desolation . hope this can be corrected as soon as possible .
