Some people saw some bugs and are understandably feeling a little peeved.

On the bright side it worked out for me as well, it was a blast of an event.

I simply cannot understand this point of view, in real life the greatest billionaires achieved their wealth were as much about luck and timing as it was skill.

If I wanted to be reminded of how unfair life was I wouldn’t be playing a game about plant-people and magical dragons.

That was good XD. Maybe that’s why single player RPG’s are still more popular then MMO’s, no people to screw up your experience :P

I’m probably in the agree to disagree crowd, but I cannot understand how this can cause this much vitriol, anger, negativity etc. They’ve added a single gear level, three months into the life of the game where most fundamental changes will have to occur, with no further plans (which they have said explicitly, you can hold them to that) to do so in the near future.

The expected lifetime of this game is clearly years, and no matter how buggy some people may have found the event, it is remarkable how they can scale with traffic which most would consider DDOS levels.

I for one will continue to support the work they do here, because they’ve clearly built something to last. I may drop out every once in awhile, but because of the design it’s so easy to jump back in again.

This ascended gear thing from what I’ve seen is more people concerned about the direction of new content then having this thing put in right here right now only a short time after launch. I wouldn’t be too concerned, and you’ve all made your point here which I’m sure ANet will consider, and because of how the system works, your dollars supports, or lack of it, guides the direction of development. There is no grind in the one content where it matters most, sPvP, anywhere else in the game the only point of better gear is to progress through content faster. Admittedly WvW is in a grey area but it tends to be a more positional/numbers battle then a gear requirement.

On SBI or at least the players I was with it was clear sailing through the event, sure we got wiped once figuring out the crazy death rolls and jumps but it was a tremendous experience, and the reward at the end seemed well worth it.

This might be my own experience but I cannot see what deserves this much vitriol, I’m personally impressed with what ArenaNet has managed to do here as a developer and their designers have expressed a great deal of thought and care in the work they’ve done.

I imagine I’ll keep supporting them in the future, just tossing my two cents in. Cheers.

Just wanted to report this frequently happens to me in WvW, I have to mute the sound, otherwise the broken noise gives me a headache and I can’t restart the client, otherwise I have to requeue for WvW.

Is this officially being handled on an individual basis or is a fix coming all at once?
