Macros: A serious Offense?

Exactly, as long as i dont bot or hack , Macros change the way I play the game. If i am more effective than you are, this does not have to do with macros, it has to do with the hours i have spent playing the game and all the parameters in the gameplay equation (skills – equipment – setup – timing …etc). And even if , we assume that due to a macro rotation , i play better, why does this have to bother you??? If you use advance gaming equipment, such as advance multi button mouse, anatomic chair, …etc which makes you enjoy a great game more, and maybe gives you an edge over me, should i be bothered?

I totally respect the no-macros allowed rule and i understand why it is there, however i am 100% sure that Macros Cannot Make an inefficient gamer , efficient. Macros (not botting or hacking) affect personal game experience.

Thank you … i will not debate on this anymore

Macros cannot make an inneficient gamer efficient.
Mastering a game requires same amount of time with macros or without.
Macros affect only personal game experience.
The reason that game companies forbid macros are 2 : BOTTING and HACKING. If macros are officially allowed , a huge percentage of gamers will take advantage of it and use it for botting or hacking.
Nobody cares if you spam 3 skills using one button(this will not make you a better player). I ve been using macros mainly in PVE and i never had any problem ( i am playing mmos 20 years now).
If you want to use macros , respect other gamers and the game(not botting or hacking) and find a safe app to avoid serious problems.
I reccomend this https://www.youtube.com/user/FingerzGames (the best there is)

Hi Olba. I get your point. However, i still insist that macroing does not affect other players or the game. It is a different playstyle.
Macroing will not turn an inefficient gamer into efficient. A not experienced player with a i.e. 6 button rotation(like the one you suggest) will still lose against an experienced player without macro rotation. Additionaly macro gaming has also disadvantages. Activating a rotation with wrong timing , will require quick interruption
of the rotation, and reaction. An additional step which makes it harder for use during wrong timing situations, or general in pvp where you have to act-react according to the moves of your opponent. Macros imo are viable in PVE. What is that has to bother anyone? If you buy a 20 button mouse which improves your gameplay, and maybe makes you even play a bit better than me, should bother me? No.

The built in systems keep on changing according to the user feedback-requests. This is why , more and more mmos , everyday are building in game macro systems(wow, ff14, rift…etc). This is a need that should be available , for every gamer, according to their playstyle.

Macroing modifies only personal gameplay. Botting(playing unattended) and hacking(super powers – account steal) are the reason that macroing has a bad reputation. But it is definately not the same. I never had any problem for simple macroing. Nobody cares if i press one button , and the macro sends 2 more. It does not affect anyone , but my personal playstyle. Of course the company will only go by the book , since allowing the use of macros officially, will result in many people(stupid) taking advantage of it, and creating problems to the game , and the other players.
