So, I can only assume that I’m missing something here. I went to Caledon Forest, Got the Firefly Luminescence, traveled to The Silverwastes, then went through and attacked and killed each of the five underground Mordrem Champions. Then went to interact with the thing that it says we are supposed to interact with to imbue it…Yet, nothing is happening?
Its telling me in all four; Amber, Blue, Indigo, and Red. I get the same message ’This is not available at this time.
Is this intentional? The Collection clearly has the result as a requirement for the Luminescent Shoulder armor. Everything else for it CAN be got without too much difficulty. Is this a bug that Annet overlooked? Or and I just not understanding something about the mechanics of this.
The solution is both very complex, yet very simple.
You wish to stop a group of this nature? You have to remove the line of command. Whoever is coordinating the group needs to be discovered.
IE anyone with technical know-how and the time looking into things to perhaps get everyone some information on these ‘lizards’ will let us get somewhere.

SO far I’ve only been traveling in Mount Maelstrom, The Crucible of Eternity, and WvW. But since the patch…Everything seems okay.
I will MORE than gladly update if a problem occurs though. But as of right now, I’m willing to say it looks like Anet pulled their stuff together.

Now the problems have gone even more wonky. I cannot enter the Ascalonian Catacombs. I cannot enter the Black Citadel, two of the PRIMARY points of interest of ANY Charr character.
What the heck is the team doing?
They know we still exist right? Where be the signs we are actually going to get a fix? What is being done?! What the heck Anett?!?

To be noted. I was there yesterday with no issues. Had no problems doing stuff on the map, including doing jumping puzzles, which often killed me and required a re-spawn, and yet out of the blue…This happens again.
I just tried to log in and then I got this?

Just an FYI for everyone that has suggested a fix. I’ve begun testing all of them, my problem consisting with being unable to safely enter the Iron Marches myself, I will keep a log and add it in here when I’ve done tested everything.

Can I second the motion that this be considered rather intensely?
As much as I want the issue to be resolved (my wife and I are having this issue), I highly doubt this is at all related.
My wife is having more issues than I am. I had issues on Sunday, but haven’t had an issue the past few days. She is still experiencing issues though, here are her details:

The map name(s) on which the character or characters are trying to load: Straits of DevastationShe was also getting a “Cannot connect to the log in server” error a few days ago while already in and playing the game, but I think those have stopped. When that was happening, she couldn’t join parties or view friends/guild list.
In all fairness if it stopped on one specific day for you, I have to ask. Did your router or internet provider reset that night? Because if so it might actually be more evidence to the contrary.
I do not know your situation, but I am just saying, unless you can confirm that did not occur, its a possibility that should be considered. As sometimes in such things it can be even the smallest of things that causes the biggest of problems. And a number of people have confirmed that resetting their routers has temporarily stopped the problem. Whether that means it shifts it to a different part of the map I do not know.
My point is, it has valid points that should be considered. Is it the exact problem? Maybe, maybe not. I do not know since I’ve not taken it upon myself to delve into their code. But I can personally confirm, there is something going on. Because I have literally been stuck in a map, then had a friend, on the same server I use, log in onto my account and move my character out of that map, and then I can play that character again. In fact, two friends of mine have done this, and neither of them has yet to experience these problems.
This means I am more than capable of playing the game as that character. This also means that its not an issue with the account since it can be played in the locales giving me personally problems. In likely the same instance I was using.
That means that there is a problem between my computer and the connection of that specific map. And given that each map has many different instances due to the large number of servers worldwide, meaning each has to have its own location.
Which as he mentioned, would make sense for why a number of people have had success in managing to ‘escape’ these issues by guesting to another server.
The issue might not be the exact same for you, thus why this does not work for everyone, myself included. But if its something that’s effecting most of the people the problem is effecting. Its likely that it would help with the other issues as well, as they likely are related in some way.
Though I would be delighted to hear why it is you think this isn’t the case.
Oh, and one last question. And this is something you do not have to answer as it is a private type of question and I will not expect an reply to it. But I assume you use different computers correct? If you haven’t already, try having her log in to her account on the computer you use, and you use the computer she does. If we are both wrong and this has nothing to do with the issue, then its likely she’ll get stuck on whatever system you use as well and that’s the end of it. Though it would go a long way to help confirm what exactly the problem is if that could be tested over more than just two people.

After some testing, I might have found the cause of this problem. I believe it is the conflict between the person’s public IP and the game map IP. I will explain why I came up with this conclusion in the follow paragraphs.
From reading many threads on this topic, I realized this problem is not as systematic as it seems, it does not have a pattern on how it occurs; each person gets stuck on different map. This means it cannot be the problem of the game maps.
I also found out that sometimes I was able access the maps which I got stuck on previously. Then I could get stuck on the same map again later when I tried to access it. The only map I cannot access since the patch is Eternal Battlegrounds. It lead me to think that it’s the problem with the map IP. That means I can only access some layers of this same map. Why is it that other people have no problem accessing this map IP? so it cannot be the map IP itself. There has got to be some thing on my end causing this problem to occur. From this assumption, I tried another test.
I copied my public IP at home, then I took my computer to a public place and acquired the IP from there. It is of course different from my home IP. Also it had a different IP format(my home ip is xx.xx.xx.xx, the other ip is xxx.xxx.xxx.xx). I ran the game. Guess what, I had no problem accessing any of those maps I got stuck on; I can even access Eternal Battlegrounds. Tried other tests, everything was fine; no connection errors whatsoever.
After that test, I was pretty certain it was the conflict between the person’s public IP and the game map IP. When I tried this at home again, my home IP is still the same. Therefore, I got stuck on those maps again. This also explains why some people are able to unstuck their characters by guesting to a different world. It’s not guesting a world, it’s the likelihood of getting access to a different layer of the map. It also explains why people have the same home IP will get this error. And also why resetting the modem, which resets the public IP sometimes, could get your character unstuck.
If what I am proposing is correct, I think it’s the problem with the programming itself. I still do not understand why ANET made the map IP the same format as my home IP (xx.xx.xx.xx). Coincidence? anyways, hope that helps.

By the way, if your team wants to test it on my account, as I have already given permission for, my primary character, DarkusTheFirst is parked right outside the Iron Marches.
Though again, as I mentioned, a friend of mine, using my character, could log in and get my character out of the Iron Marches. So, not sure how much helping logging onto my guy can actually do, but hey go for it.

Turned off Firefox before logging-in
Successfully managed to go onto ALL my characters NOT INCLUDING the one that entered the Iron Marches.
After, on Eradon Terrace, my friend, Also on Eradon Terrace, Also NA, not living very FAR from me, managed to walk my character out of the Iron Marches inot the Plains of Ashford, allowing me to relog onto my character. RECIEVING SURPRIE SURPISE (Hint hint, error code is in the name of this particular thread!!! Can you guys waht error code it is?! I bet its 1234 right guys?) I recieved…Error Code… 7:11:3:191:101
Testing things, I cannot enter the Iron Marches myself. But my friend, using my account, with my permission, can go into it with the very same character without any single problem. Because again. Anytime I’ve tried getting into the IRON MARCHES, my character does not complete the loading screen and ends up with error code…YOu guessed it, becuause its not in the THREADS NAME or anything. Error Code 7:11:3:191:101
Oh, and in case nobody understood, if it was ever a question in anyones mind, this thread is revolving around errors with getting Error Code 7:11:3:191:101 whenever loading up specific maps. Such as teh Iron Marches. Or Frostgorge. Or The Plains of Ashford. Or Drytop.

This is getting to be utterly ridiculous. Gaile Gary, Can you give us some informarion please?
Does your supposedly hard working team have ANY information on what the problem is?
Is it servers? Is it specific Maps? Is it instances that involve the current Episode? Not a single question that has been asked has YET to be addressed! And I am by far not the only person asking them!
Information would be really nice! Particularly with how aggravating the problem is for the CUSTOMERS! Because when you get to the base of it, THAT is what we are. Customers that PAID for a service that is now NOT being provided. If we were hiring the crew to construct something for us, We’d well be getting answers by now, or your crew would’ve been fired!
Communicate where you are in the repair or debugging process!
I LITERALLY just got a message from support earlier TODAY about an issues that’s CLEARLY been going on for some time. Requesting that my account be used in trying to fix this. (Ironically I mentioned in this Forum just yesterday that many people would likely be willing to help…) And once again I am hearing NOTHING from your supposed ‘support.’
Sorry if it seems like I’m challenging you specifically Gary, but we are hardly seeing ANY response from anyone else! If you can point us somewhere were we can hound someone that DOES have this information if you yourself DO NOT have it, that would be good to at least have shared! So we can TRY finding someone that CAN solve the problem.
The game ISN’T cheap to buy, and the amount of time and effort that people put into the characters is making this issue inexcusable.
And that doesn’t even cover the issues of events and story missions that people might not be able to complete on account of these massive problems.
AND to further Clarify. NEARLY every single person with this issue got it IMMEDIETLY after ‘The Dragon’s Reach Part 1’ Episode came out. Particularity people that claim to have been with the game for LONG periods of time WITHOUT a single issue.
Now again. I am no tech genius. But Something MIGHT give me the idea that the problem lies there.
If I am wrong, Please, correct me. I am sure that nobody having this problem is sitting here frustrated wondering whats going on and why we cannot get a straight answer as to what the heck is broke.

THe FULL Error Codes I have been recieving are TYPICALLY these two: 7:11:3:191:101 and 42:0:9001:4347
Characters affected: Depends on what the heck the game decides to do. SOmetimes its just 1, other times its all five. No rhyme or reason to who it is as far as I can tell. Since the patch, only two thus far.
Maps with issues: SINCE the patch, The Grove and Iron Marches, as well as The Great Halls Home Instance.
I get the 7:11:3:191:101 and 42:0:9001:4347 randomly on different characters when I try to log into them. I get to the character screen. All five of my characters appear on the list, then just random places do not work. For a while it was my Charr main in Timberline Falls. Which SEEMS to have been fixed since the patch.
NOW, since the patch, my Norn had a issue entering her home instance once, but it seemed to have cleared up when I reconnected as her.
The second issue was when I entered the Iron marches as my Main Charr, where they are currently trapped since ANYTIME I try to log onto them, I get one of those two error codes.
Additionally I am having some issues at times playing my Sylvari in The Grove, as she cannot always load.
My Asura in Rata Sum can be accessed and I can move around within Rata Sum (Not tested further than that as of right now), my Norn in Hoelbrak can also travel through Hoelbrak unhindered currently, except her Home instance is a bit glitchy as in it siometimes works and other times doesn’t, and finally my secondary Charr whom is a Ranger can successfully go between Lion’s Arch and the Black Citadel without issue, for now.

So…After the patch, MOST issues were fixed. Been having issues getting into some of my Home instances such as the Great Hall. But otherwise, been fairly decent…Until I dared to enter the Iron Marches…Since achievement and quest related things happen there…That was the mistake that once again has me in this loop or pain and misery.
So please some Dev somewhere, tell us, what happened? What was the patch supposed to alter exactly? Because it seemed to at least temporarily be on the right track.

Now, I am no techno genius, but this is not seeming to be a issue with the actual connections. It seems to me that its a issue with certain areas of the map on specific servers.
And while I can understand the reasons for doing so, Could you perhaps tell us what exactly you have uncovered and are working on Devs? That way we can at least try to figure out whats going on as well?
I cannot help but notice that a lot of the points that are being issue right now TEND to be involved with the current Episode. As each and every one of the areas I’ve seen listed either has some form of dialogue related to the quests, contains the locations of such quests, or similarly has events related to this episode.
Is this the case? Should we be avoiding areas that involve the current Living World missions? And if that’s not the problem, as this is clearly not a recent issue, hopefully someone has some idea as to what the actual problem is and can explain it?
Because this doesn’t make sense to me. The error says its a connection issue, yet I have a better internet connection than my friend, who was playing at the same time, had no lag, and is STILL playing even as I speak.
Whatever the problem may be, can you explain what it is? I know everyone including myself might not understand. But there is bound to be someone that will, and Might even know how to fix the issue.
I apologize if I seem rude, but as has been mentioned by a great many…This is feeling like wasted time and effort not being able to play the game or characters that I and others have put so much effort into.
And just telling us "UPDATE: This is very much a known issue and the matter is under investigation by several team members. We apologize for the time it has taken to get the sitaution resolved and we will keep working on it until things are back to normal.
FYI: The issue is not isolated to Guild Wars 2, but is also impacting other games.

What exactly is being investigated? Has a server somewhere in the chain blown up? Did the Charr catch a deadly virus of glitchanitus? Is this an issue with the living world that was not foreseen? What does this mean?
It was mentioned that its not isolated to GW2, What other games are having issues? Are they getting an identical problem? Does it involve the same server?
Explanations that explain something to the community are far better than saying the team is on it. What has the team found? I see how old this thread is. And who knows how many times its been merged. So, what exactly is going on? Please someone explain!
And again, sorry if this is sounding rude, but this is rather ridiculous! I mean…Weeks, if not full months this has been known? If a team of Tech guys/gals cannot find the issue in that long? There must be ideas. And ideas can be tested. its not like there is a short supply of people having the problems, I am sure they’d be more than happy to try something to get this fixed.

And now the problems are even worse. My account cannot appear to log in. And it wiped the saved account info on load-up. Keeps on giving me error code 11:1001:2:1262

I try to be mild mannered about this kind of thing, but the website is lagging now as well, and this is just reaching new levels of frustration. I understand a lot is going on, but I haven’t got a lot of time available to me to figure out these issues, and they are really starting to kill my love of the game.
Edit: Okay, so the not being able to get on my account part was my own fault. Mistyped the freaking password, so ignore that part please.

I similarly have been having issues with this. I tried logging in with my two Char character, and I had been playing for a good while with no issue, then all of a sudden as I entered Timberline Falls, my guardian couldn’t connect again. Every single time was a DC with either the error code 7:11:3:191:101 or a new one that I’ve not yet seen mentioned anywhere 42:0:9001:4347:101 Which I also got on an attempted connection to the Timberline Falls.
I tried for a while to connect with him, to no avail in Timberline. Seeking to amend the problem I tried my Ranger who was in the Black Citadel. Similarly to no avail. And so I tried something mentioned earlier, guesting on a different server, still nothing has come from that either with either character.
Additionally my Asura in Rata Sum can connect, my Sylvari in The Grove is also able to connect, and my Norn in Hoelbrak is able to connect as well.
What is strangest about it though, is I do partially connect. I’ve had a friend helping me out, and he sees me temporarily coming online, and I hear the in-game sounds while the loading screen is up. And according to my friend in the UK he sees my name come as being online for short periods of time while I am trying to connect.
The major problem here being I have put a lot of effort into the two Char, and the Guardian is my first and primary character that I am using to explore and so forth.
