I like shield exactly for what Red Falcon told..
If you have a look i.e. at this recent open world event, it is difficult to see mobs doing something so it is not difficult to find you short of life. At this point only endure pain is not enough to recover back your life.
With both of them I’m always had time to have my health back at a sustainable point, whereas a lot of other people die.

Moreover shield is handy for all the situation when a boss focus on you and despite you roll away.
Lastly since my crit chance is at about 70% (I’m gathering some equipment) shield sinergyze well with Axe burst if you take the trait that grant you 50% crit chance when hit stun enemies.

Anyway as told I’m open also to new weapon, like I tried Sword/Axe – Bow with a condition build and I find it quite fun to play, but I’m not very good at use the build calculator..

I’m playing my warrior a lot of with Pug so I cannot rely too much on others on buffs/whatever.
Can you suggest me a good build I can use mostly in PvE – expl dungeons and also low level fractals?
I’m actually playing with Axe-Shield / GS and I like this combination, but maybe it is something better I can do.
I tried to change Shield for Mace as seen in a lot of post, but the missing of shield is felt on my side, so if you can stay with those kind of weapons it is better.

I tried also a condition build (Sw-Axe / Longbow) some times ago and it was fun (but I still not have all exotic pieces for that) anyway I think that it still be good in PVE if I’ve not in group necros else we maximize conditions also without me..

Today I had lag on Ethernal Battleground (I’m playing from Fissure of Woe and I entered in server 1 just 20 mins ago).
After 20 mins I quit, because I’ve a lot of delay in all the skills on my bar (a lot means 8-10 seconds) and also in update player position on the map.
After some seconds basicall I saw the result of all (and usually of course I’ll be dead since I cannot see nothing real on my screen).

I hope it is just a day since I’ve never had any issue before.

ehm no clue
I used it only in offhand for whirlwind aoe

1h mace
defensive build (knockback and parry)
I pair it with shield (dungeons tank) or another mace

Rifle
nice single target damage
better use with a condition build?

I`m starting to learn the class and I think that those basic advice could be helpful.
Maybe is better start from a build stuff such as:

Condition build:
damage based on bleeds
must have traits
good with: 1h sword/1h sword, bow

etc..
