I’ve been noticing on my last few Claw of Jormag battles that this won’t start happening until Claw is down to about 10 or 15% health, then it’ll kick in. Must I start retreating to the camp area and watching the rest of the fight take place in effort to reduce the chance I’ll get sound spammed or freeze up? I don’t like this idea. I would much rather see A.Net fix the bloody thing.
We had a patch today, mostly it seems just to take down all the Winter’s Day festivites, but I was hoping it might have had a fix to this thing. Went to Arah and started up the story mode to see the initial conversation and….
Alas, nope, Conversation Zojja is still without her cute hat. sigh It’s been a known bug for how long now? A month? Two months? Three? And they seemingly refuse to fix it. Granted it’s not exactly a game breaker so I imagine it’s not exactly high on their priority list, but I wouldn’t think it would be that tough to fix, would it?
Maybe we’ll get luck in the January Updates. I’d like it very much if they just gave the option where players could keep their hats in conversation as well.
Something else worth mentioning was that this bug made the Lost Shores event pretty much completely unplayable, unless you didn’t mind annoying sounds in your ear instead of expected game sounds. My suggestion to ArenaNet is to not even THINK about releasing any new events that require mass player involvement until you have this sound bug locked down and fixed so it’s not something players have to post about through two pages, much less than 13.
Thanks.
Just did the Claw of Jormag meta in Frostgorge and I saw this event happen again for the first time in almost a month. Last time I saw it was doing the Lost Shores event, which made it kitten near unplayable. This time it repeated itself a grand total of four times through the event and forced the game to be reset each time. kitten annoying.
There were a ton of players taking on the Claw but that shouldn’t be an issue now, should it? Truth is that ANet has said they’d look into this 3 months ago and it’s still pops up as an issue.
This is the build I usually roll with in PvE and sometimes WvW.

Using utility skills that give low cooldown toolbelt abilities, combined with the Static Discharge trait to generate some extra damage along with the rifle. Works pretty well for me in most cases.
My only question is, what would be the best Superior Runes to obtain to make this even better. There isn’t many conditions being used here accept the occasional bleed from Blunderbuss, but everything else is just straight up direct damage, so I’m thinking Power is the way to go.
My first guess on best rune would be Superior Runes of the Citadel, which gives both power and and bonuses to Fury. Perhaps someone else has a different idea though. Let me know? Thanks.
Although I do love the asura I can’t agree that they look better than the norn. This is a totaly subjective though, as each person is going to view his favorites to look best.
Still no sign of this bug being reverted, sadly enough. Did Sorrow’s Embrace story last night and poor Zojja still is having her hat taken away during conversation bits.
Plz Fix, A.Net. Thanks.
Can we just get an option to include headgear for our characters in conversation scenes? I think that would be a nice option.
As to the original topic, Zojja’s still without her helm in dungeon conversations. Poor gal’s going to get a headcold!
