Here you go, hope it helps.
I found the file you want but it’s a lot of pages, do you want it all or should I choose one of the options to the left?
On the left it says System log queries, Diagnostic and usage information and Files.
Hello there,
I have a maxed out 27 inch and the game runs horribly. Can’t set the game on max settings without horrible FPS and constant crashes.
My issues: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/mac/Crashes-when-to-much-happens-on-screen.
So buying a maxed out 21 inch is no use for GW2, it’s to badly optimised. You either have to run it in bootcamp or turn down the graphics to a degree that makes it look very bad.
If you still want a Mac for GW2 i’d just get what you’re comfortable with spending on it.
Kind regards,
David
That fixed the problem but now it looks like a game from 2000.
Isn’t there another option to fix this issue?
Hello there,
I recently bought my first iMac and was kind of disappointed with the frame rates that GW2 gave compared to my old PC. I can live with the frame rate drops but now GW2 keeps crashing whenever I’m in Lion’s Arch/Tequatl/WvW/World bosses or anything else that has lots of things happening on screen at once.
Before it crashes the frame rate drops really low for a couple of seconds and then it just stops working. Afterwards I get a LockedRect error and have to restart the client.
This makes WvW/Tequatl/Any world boss unplayable since I get kicked into overflow and don’t have a chance anymore.
I’ve already removed the application support folder, tried reinstalling the game, tried the modified config files and even tweaked the ingame settings to lower settings. But nothing helps. It isn’t the iMac itself, since it’s pretty much the best Mac around at the moment (not counting the new Mac Pro). I have done a disk cleanup with disk utility but that didn’t help either.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
Kind regards,
David
