I am playing with my mesmer level 52. I have also looked online for builds and videos on beating the Untamed Wilds (albeit not with a mesmer). The Veteran Branded Siege Devourer will hug the corner and reheal itself, so what little damage I have done goes away. If I approach the VBSD from another angle to move it away from the wall of the instance I can do some damage (which in my opinion should not be necessary as its clearly a design flaw that I have to keep it away from the instance wall), but it still attempts to move back to its original location. This to me seems stupid. The NPCs that are “assisting” you are one shotted. The interrupts are incessant so its hard to get off illusions. I can certainly understand that an MMO should be played with other people and that bosses should be hard.
At the moment I cannot play in organized groups and it is hard to find help on the spur of the moment with this sort of thing. Further the story line should be playable solo in my opinion. It is after all her story line not a group. The instance in its present form is too difficult for a mesmer to solo and I can not progress with the character development. I can not see investing any further financially as I think I will have to abandon this character.
