D/P thieves are also good. Fought a backstab thief recently and he was missing all his attacks. Black Powder and Shadow Shot FTW!

To the TC thief and mesmer that was fighting with me 2v1 north of champions demense CD border, thanks for a fun battle although i died. But was a lil disappointed that the thief decided to hit Alt+F4 when i got him down. anyways, cheers!

Thanks for the replies, well i was hoping to see the dagger being used in action. That way i could see the effects on an asura. :p

i fought a strong sword wielding mesmer the other day and he can hit me hard. I need help on countering him please. I’m using a shortbow + P/D semi glass build with shadowstep, shadow refuge, and either SoS/Devourer Venom/Spider Venom.

Greetings fellow Asura’s! I’m currently playing an Asura Thief and I’m in a dilemma on whether to get the incinerator for it. Daggers on them looks pretty tiny so I’m not sure if it is worth getting. It’ll be a great help if there’s any Asura out there with the Incinerator that can post up a screenshot of it!

I started off thief as a S/P power vit toughness build thief. After awhile i decided to change to a full glass cannon D/D build because i wanted to take down enemies faster so i can assist my team. Then i tried a full condition P/D build but couldnt fit my preferences. After trying out the different builds, i decided to mix n match my armors n accessories. Now i’m playing a semi glass cannon P/D build that i enjoy. I’d suggest u to join PvP and try out all the builds and find out which suits u best.

May i ask how many hours left till the patch?

I play a thief since launch and if you say you are a full toughness defense spec’d profession, you’re probably playing it badly. I’ve fought very skilled guardians where i cant’t get him to a quarter hp and he just stun locks me to death.

just to ask, you have 3k armor, but whats your total hp? and to add to the question:-
- does he have the wvw orb bonus?
- is he using any food that adds damage?
- does he use the sigil that adds damage?

^ agree with the weapon(especially daggers n pistols for me) not visible. Its too tiny! and just to add another point in this, (just my personal opinion) the order of whisper helm on asura looks super weird. looks like ur just wrapping a piece of cloth over the head instead of it looking like a hood.(again just my personal opinion) cheers!
